WH monkeypox coordinator has a penchant for leather pentagrams, mesh tops, and hot pink daisy dukes

There are things you can just never unsee and right at the top of that list is White House monkeypox coordinator Demetre Daskhalkis in, take your choice, a leather pentagram, mesh top, or pink daisy dukes.

Americans may have a hard time taking Daskhalkis’ message on the virus seriously if they Google his pics.

The monkeypox coordinator just announced that we’re “signaling to people who are in the gay/ bisexual/other-men-who-have sex-w/-men communities, & also transgender people who have sex w/ men, that it’s really important to have awareness that it’s circulating.”

The message is a little late since the virus has been “circulating” for some time now primarily among gay men. That’s a fact that most of America was aware of so one would conclude that gay men should also have been cognizant of it. Hiring a “Leather Daddy” to issue the warning is a nice, twisted touch.

Social media had a field day with pictures of the monkeypox czar.

Journalist Tom Elliott was not impressed with the one he found.

“Meet Demetre Daskalakis. Demetre was just appointed by Joe Biden to be the official White House National Monkeypox Response Deputy Coordinator. Demetre proudly wears the official symbol of the Church of Satan: The Pentagram. Joe Biden appointed a Satanist to the White House,” conservative pundit Benny Johnson tweeted.

One commentator snarked, “Now we know what he’s wearing under his suit. At least the pentagram is right side up.”

Elliott went on to tweet, “Possible ensembles for his next monkeypox presser: 1) the classic mesh tank top w/ hot pink daisy dukes.”

Another person noted, “If they TRIED to be their own parody they couldn’t do as good a job.”

Conservative commentator Ian Miles Cheong pointed out the irony of it all, “Yep. The White House hired a Leather Daddy to coordinate their monkeypox response. You couldn’t make this up.”

Unfortunately, there’s laughably more.
