Obama lays it on thick at White House portrait reveal; calls Biden’s presidency ‘America’s good fortune’

Barack and Michelle Obama returned to the White House for the grand unveiling of their official portraits on Wednesday and the former two-term Democrat president took the time to give props to his former second banana, Joe Biden whom he gushed that America was lucky to have as the nation’s leader.

The Obamas are as close as it comes to political deities within the Democratic Party and the nation’s 44th president was fawned over by the adoring media for the special occasion, bestowing his generous praise on the deeply unpopular Biden, days after his despicable Independence Hall rant where he put tens of millions of voters on notice that they are viewed as enemies of the state by his government.

“Our family was lucky enough to have two wonderful dogs,” said Obama. “I was even luckier to have a chance to spend eight years working day and night with a man who became a true partner and a true friend.”

“Joe, it is now America’s good fortune to have you as president,” he said as the room of Democratic Party loyalists erupted in cheers.

“You guided us through some perilous times. You have built on and gone beyond the work we all did together to expand health care, fight climate change, advance social justice, and promote economic fairness,” Obama added. “Thanks to your decency and strength, maybe most of all, thanks to your faith in our democracy and the American people, the country is better off than when you took office.”

“We should all be deeply grateful for that. Thank you so much,” he said.

Twitter reacted to Obama’s remarks with mockery and disbelief.

Not all as rosy as seemed, The Washington Post reported that there were lingering tensions between the camps of the two Democrat leaders prior to Wednesday’s festivities.

“Some Biden loyalists are resentful that Obama didn’t throw his weight behind Biden’s presidential aspirations, complaining that even now Obama’s team does not fully respect Biden. Obama loyalists are frustrated that Biden’s aides regularly boast of how they have avoided the mistakes of the Obama White House, such as failing to sufficiently tout the president’s accomplishments,” the outlet reported.

“Meanwhile, some in Obama’s orbit were irked by statements from Biden officials that they were avoiding the mistakes of the Obama years. In particular, many Democrats felt that the Obama team had embraced a stimulus plan that was too small, and then did too little to tout the then-president’s accomplishments,” according to the WaPo.

Regardless of any bad feelings, Biden had to feel much better during Wednesday’s Obama appearance than the last one when he was treated like the proverbial red-headed stepchild earlier this year as his former boss was the center of attention.

Biden is going to need all hands on deck to overcome his disastrous policies, the worst inflation in four decades, crushing gas prices that have at least temporarily subsided, this fascistic style of governance and most recently, his declaration of war on Republicans, especially Trump supporters whom he seems to view as sub-humans.

Obama is the one figure who could deliver the critical black vote in sufficient numbers to preserve one-party rule in the midterms and give Biden’s regime another two years to force its extremist agenda on a nation that may never be the same as before its “good fortune” of the divider-in-chief’s election.
