Leftist talking heads smear judge who appointed special master; ‘She’s biased and corrupt’

Leftist talking heads who have been at the tip of the spear of the anti-Trump resistance are fuming after a federal judge granted former President Donald J. Trump’s request for the appointment of an independent third party special master to review documents seized in the FBI’s daring raid on Mar-a-Lago, putting a crimp in the Biden regime’s criminal investigation of its top political opponent.

The punditry lashed out at Florida U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon who on Monday, threw a monkey wrench into the process of dragging a former president before a D.C. jury in what would be the greatest media spectacle since the O.J. Simpson trial, clearly feeling robbed and railing against the Trump appointee whom some accused of being corrupt.

Joy Reid of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” snarked, “Trump—he always looks at things as my or mine. My generals, my Kevin, my classified documents, my judges. Apparently he’s got one,” while hosting a panel discussion on Monday’s edition of “Deadline: White House” after Judge Cannon’s decision was announced.

Frequent MSNBC guest and race-obsessed bomb thrower Elie Mystal assailed the judge’s character.

“She’s biased and corrupt. Like, I don’t know what to tell everybody anymore,” he said.

“Like, I’ve been saying this since he took office. When you allow Republicans to control the courts you get nothing,” he ranted. “Trump judges do not believe in the rule of law, they do not believe in precedent, they do not believe in facts, they do not believe in logic—they just believe in whatever’s going to help Donald Trump, and they’ve proven it again and again and again.”

Rabidly partisan Chris Matthews, who once admitted that he had a “thrill going up my leg” over a Barack Obama speech, was trotted out on “Morning Joe” where he rattled off a list of losers of previous presidential elections who did not insist that they were cheated, and bemoaned the special master as a delaying tactic by Trump.

“And now he’s out there doing the same old trick he’s done to make all the millions he’s kept from people that he owes people, he’s out there saying I’m going to delay this process, and that’s what he’s doing with this special master,” he whined. “It’s a classic Trump delay.”

“We still haven’t seen his tax returns,” Matthews continued. “He’s a genius at using the law even though he thinks he’s ahead of the law, he’s above the law and I think we’re gonna remember now that Gerry Ford was wrong in allowing Richard Nixon to be above the law because now that has become sort of in people’s heads, ‘I guess he deserves a special break,’ ‘I think he deserves a special master,’ oh yeah?” he said after invoking yet another of the left’s Watergate comparisons.

“I think this is going to be an issue, it’s going to delay this process but I don’t think he’s gonna get away with it…,” he said.

On CNN, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said  “It is striking how this judge has created this exception suggesting that Trump should be given more deference than really any other, you know, person who is facing an investigation gets in this country.”

Also upset about Judge Cannon’s decision to allow a special master was MSNBC legal analyst Andrew Weissmann aka “Mueller’s pit bull” who called the ruling “so out of the ordinary” that it made it appear that Trump was receiving “special rules.”

“It isn’t the case that because you’re the former president, you get more justice. You should get equal justice. You shouldn’t be treated worse, but he shouldn’t be treated better,” Weissmann said.

But Loyola Law School professor Jessica Levinson may have let the cat out of the bag on CNN.

“Yes, the Department of Justice may be able to continue with its investigation eventually. But, it matters when you have to postpone because we know we are running up to the midterms, then we are running up to the presidential election. The former president is likely to say, again, he is going to be a candidate for the presidency. At which point, his claim will be, well the Biden Department of Justice is going after me because I am his opponent. It’s still a delay that changes things,” she said.

They are disappointed big time that their party is being spoiled by having a neutral third-party involved.
