White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre demonstrated that if it wasn’t for double standards Democrats would have no standards at all when she downplayed her 2016 tweet that former President Donald J. Trump stole the election.
President Joe Biden’s top spinmeister was up to gaslighting as usual during Tuesday’s daily press briefing when she was confronted by Fox News’ bulldog reporter Peter Doocy who put her on the spot on why her own remarks made her any different than the “MAGA Republicans” who have been demonized by her boss Joe Biden for their suspicion that the 2020 contest wasn’t on the level.
“Just trying to understand the new attention on the MAGA Republicans, you tweeted in 2016…” Doocy began.
“Oh, I knew this was coming,” Jean-Pierre interrupted.
Doocy to KJP: You tweeted in 2016 that Trump stole an election…if denying election results is extreme now, why wasn't it then?

“…Trump stole an election…” Doocy continued.
“I was waiting, Peter, when you were going to ask me that question,” Jean-Pierre said, trying to play it off.
“Well great, here we go,” he said. “You tweeted Trump stole an election, you tweeted Brian Kemp stole an election, if denying election results is extreme now, why was…?”
Jean-Pierre cut him off again, “So let’s be really clear, that, that comparison that you made is just ridiculous,” she said as she talked over Doocy. “I have been… I have been, you’re asking me a question let me answer it,” as she gestured at him with her hand while filibustering.
“I was, I was talking specifically at that time of what was happening with voting rights, and what was in danger of voting rights, that’s what I was speaking to at the time,” she said. “And here’s the thing, I have said Governor Kemp won the election in Georgia and been clear about that.”
“I have said President Trump won the election in 2016, and I’ve been clear about that,” KJP continued. “What we are talking about right now is let’s not forget about what happened on January 6, 2021,” going to the crutch of the so-called “insurrection” which has become a trusty fallback option for Democrats when faced with questions on their own hypocrisy.
“We saw an insurrection, a mob that was incited by the person who occupied this campus, this facility at that time,” she said.
“And it was an attack on our democracy. Let’s not forget, people died that day. Law enforcement were attacked, that day,” she continued, not mentioning that the one person who died as a direct result of the chaos of the Capitol was Air Force veteran and Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt who was gunned down in cold blood by a black Capitol Hill police officer.
“That was the danger that we were seeing at the time, that’s what the president has called out and that’s what he’s going continue to call out,” she added. “So yes, when you have MAGA Republicans, an extreme part of Republicans who for, who just deny or do not want to really say what exactly happened on that day, or say it was a protest when it clearly was not a peaceful protest, that’s not what we saw on that day, yes the president’s going to call that out.”
“And here’s the thing,” she said. “A majority of Americans agree with this president on protecting our democracy. Protecting our freedom and protecting our rights, that’s what we’re talking about today and that’s what the president’s going to focus on,” in another typical long non-answer to a legitimate question from the historic, first black, lesbian immigrant to be appointed as top White House spox.
In her tweet, Jean-Pierre specifically said that 2016 was a “stolen” election.

“I wondered when you were going to ask because I knew none of these journos would.”

“Only we can decide when to deny an election.”

The hypocrisy of her entire statement is utterly astounding.

A hypocrite
A habitual liar

It’s beyond me how Peter Doocy just doesn’t laugh in her face.

If she knew Peter was going to ask this question why didn’t she have a better answer prepared?

Even though it couldn’t be more obvious that the Biden regime is arguably the most dishonest in the nation’s history, Doocy is the lone voice in the press room who is willing to ask serious questions.
