Latest effort by Wa-Po’s Taylor Lorenz to target Libs of TikTok blows up in her face: ‘Cry harder’

The Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz is once again complaining about the popular Libs of TikTok Twitter account.

In her latest exposé published Friday and co-written by two of her colleagues — because of her tendency to publish lies, the Post has required that her work be supervised — Lorenz blamed Libs of TikTok for the “growing threats of violence” being faced by some children’s hospitals over their genital mutilation of children.

And as usual, Lorenz subtly pushed for Libs of TikTok to be banned from Twitter.

“Twitter has left up the account inspiring the attacks, despite its employees voicing concerns in internal Slack channels that it’s ‘only a matter of time’ before the posts lead to someone getting killed,” she wrote.

“Twitter declined to comment, but people familiar with internal discussions say Twitter executives face internal pressure from some employees to respond more aggressively to the account,” Lorenz added.

She also echoed her complaints on Twitter:

Libs of TikTok, which is run by a woman, responded to the hit piece in two different ways.

First, she published a Substack post announcing that she intends to file suit if Twitter bans her.

“Last week, I was wrongfully suspended from Twitter for seven days after I exposed a hospital that admitted to performing gender-affirming hysterectomies on healthy minors. I say ‘wrongfully’ because the reason given for my suspension was hateful conduct. I did not engage in hateful conduct. I accurately reported the truth,” she wrote.

“My biggest fan, Taylor Lorenz, wrote another hit piece about me yesterday claiming that Twitter executives are facing ‘internal pressure from some employees to respond more aggressively’ to my account. The only thing more aggressive than a seven day suspension would be a permanent ban. But if that happens — if they ban my account for hateful conduct when all I’ve done is report the facts — then I’ll sue them for breach of contract. I’ll also bring claims under California state law and the California Constitution.”

Second, Libs of TikTok told Lorenz to “cry harder.”

Look:

Libs of TikTok has been in the crosshairs of left-wing “journalists” over her willingness to conduct actual journalism.

Specifically, as of late she’s been publishing reports about hospitals that offer transgender surgery to young children.

“Last week you may have noticed a lot of buzz around Boston Children’s Hospital. It turns out, they had a full menu of castration and mutilation options for minors to choose from,” she reported in early August.

“Some options included a hysterectomy: the carving out of a young girl’s reproductive system. Double mastectomy: chopping off young girls’ breasts. Phalloplasty: cutting off the skin from the forearm and thigh of healthy adolescent girls to create a penis. All this came to light last week, so I helped spread the horrors of what doctors are doing to young confused individuals.”

But she didn’t just make a claim. She provided evidence:

In response, the entire media pounced, with the media’s “fact-checkers” rating her claim false, despite it being correct, and “journalists” like Lorenz blaming her factual reporting on a bomb threat that was called in to the hospital.

Libs of TikTok responded by teaming up with Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon and offering a bounty for info leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.

Not surprisingly, the media, including Lorenz, completely ignored this act of charity.

In her latest exposé meanwhile, the WaPo “journalist” falsely repeated the lie that Libs of TikTok’s claim about Boston Children’s Hospital was false. She also blamed the Twitter account on other threats the hospital has been receiving.

“After Raichik falsely claimed on Aug. 11 that Boston Children’s Hospital performs hysterectomies on children, the hospital received a barrage of ‘hostile internet activity, phone calls, and harassing emails including threats of violence toward our clinicians and staff,’ the hospital said in a statement. The hospital does provide hysterectomies to certain patients over 18,” Lorenz wrote.

“On Tuesday, police responded to an anonymous bomb threat at the hospital. No explosives were discovered, and hospital officials said they were cooperating with the police investigation of the incident. ‘We remain vigilant in our efforts to battle the spread of false information about the hospital and our caregivers,’ the hospital said.”

The underlying theme is that Libs of TikTok’s journalism is endangering lives and must therefore be stopped. But if this standard were applied fairly and evenly, then The Washington Post itself would no longer be in business.

After all, Libs of TikTok has faced plenty of threats herself, and all thanks to Lorenz’ so-called “reporting.”
