Watch: Quick thinking 6-year-old Ohio girl fends off sicko attempting to kidnap her

A quick-thinking six-year-old girl fended off an alleged abduction right in front of her Cincinnati-area home on Wednesday in a disturbing incident was caught on doorbell video.

Ken’Adi Nash was taking out the garbage just steps from her Hamilton, Ohio, front door when, in practically the blink of an eye, a pedestrian appeared to suddenly grab her. “This guy walks by and he touched me. He pulled me,” she told ABC News in the video embedded above.

The brave youngster screamed and managed to free herself and run inside her family’s residence. “He just let go of me because I screamed,” she said.

Fortunately, both of her parents were home at the time of this alleged kidnapping attempt.

They called 911, and dad Ricky Nash followed the suspect in his car. “I chased him like he still had my kid. Definitely didn’t want him to be able to go snatch another kid….When the cops put him in handcuffs, it took so much anguish away.”

According to ABC News, proud parents Ricky and Mandie “taught all four of their daughters how to fight off an attacker, and if it wasn’t for Ken’Adi’s quick action, the outcome could have been much worse.”

Fox News identified the suspect in this incident as Deric McPherson, 33. Per Butler County, Ohio, jail information, the suspect faces two charges, abduction and gross  sexual imposition, both of which appear to be felonies.

Elsewhere in Ohio, cops arrested a man reportedly posing as the father of a kindergarten student for attempted kidnapping, felonious assault, and felony escape in the incident that allegedly occurred on the grounds of a Dayton-area K-8 school during an open house last Monday.

School officials reportedly became suspicious, and according to WHIO TV, “when police arrived on scene, they interviewed [the suspect] in the school parking lot where he gave different stories about why he was at the school before admitting that he came to kidnap a child…He told police he planned to drug the child with a tranquilizer-laced Starburst and abduct them when they passed out.”

The intended alleged victim was reportedly a five-year-old girl.

The suspect also allegedly tried to stab a cop with a pen in the interview room of the police station in Xenia, Ohio.

Watch:

He is currently being held at the Greene County Jail, and is due back in court on Monday.

All suspects are presumed innocent until or unless they are convicted in a court of law of any alleged crimes.
