Marjorie Taylor Greene releases ‘never before seen’ footage of cops descending on home after ‘swatting’ incident

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has publicly released surveillance footage from one of the three swatting incidents that occurred at her Georgia home last week.

As previously explained, to swat someone is to phone in a hoax emergency in the hopes of siccing the police on an unsuspecting homeowner.

Greene became a victim of swatting at least thrice last week.

The video footage shared by Greene shows police cruisers arriving at her home and a team of armed officers then approaching her front door. Another clip shows Greene opening the front door and speaking with the officers.

Greene shared the footage during an interview this weekend with the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN).

“I was sound asleep when that was happening. You can see how quiet they came in and then the cars stop. And you see you can see the people get out and they gather together and they come quickly up to the house. And then it’s obvious who they are. It’s the police,” she told interviewer Brian Glenn.

She added that it’s important to understand the “mindset” of the officers. The swatter had claimed that there was “a female with a gun that is threatening to kill herself” at her home.

“When I opened the door and greeted the officers and I said what’s, what’s going on? It was their demeanor and just their, like, body language. They were tactical. They had guns drawn. They were prepared for something serious,” the congresswoman said.

She noted that, during the first swatting incident, because of how late it was when the cops arrived, she’d been tempted to grab her gun when she saw lights in her driveway.

“It was truly a God thing that I had that feeling not to carry that gun with me to the front door, because had I have done that, we would have been in a whole different scenario, because I probably would have been the target, and that is the whole purpose of swatting someone,” she said.

Indeed, that’s exactly what she believes the swatter’s intent had been.

“Absolutely, 100 percent, they wanted me to be murdered, death by cop. That’s what swatting is. And they were doing this in hopes that the police would kill me,” she said.

She wasn’t exaggerating. Swatting is extremely dangerous. A man lost his life because of swatting five years ago.

“On a chilly December evening in 2017, a group of Wichita cops surrounded a modest house on West McCormick Street. They were there in response to what was purportedly a gruesome hostage situation: a father shot dead, a mother in danger, and a son threatening to burn everything down,” according to Reason magazine.

“When Andrew Finch opened the door to his home, a sniper rifle killed him within seconds. Thirty minutes passed before anyone rendered emergency aid. Cops handcuffed his mother, sister, niece, and two friends outside in 24 degree weather for over an hour. But Finch was not the son the police were after, nor were he and his family involved in any crisis.”

It turns out Finch had been swatted by a punk from California. That punk is now serving 20 years in federal prison.

In addition to sharing surveillance footage from one of the swatting incidents, the congresswoman also shared audio from the 911 calls that had triggered the swats.

According to Newsweek, after the first swatting incident, police received a follow-up call from someone taking credit for it. The suspect said they’d “targeted Greene because they were upset about her opposition to transgender youth rights.”

The first swatting incident at Greene’s home occurred early Wednesday morning. The second incident occurred early Thursday morning. And the third incident occurred early Friday morning. When she opened the front door the second night, the officer told her, “They did it again.”

The congresswoman announced the latest swatting incident in a tweet posted Saturday afternoon.

Despite the attacks on her, she doesn’t plan to back down.

“I think what everyone needs to understand about me is all of these things that are coming against me and the hate on the left, on it actually makes me dig in harder. And it’s a conviction inside of me. And I will fight harder, and I will keep going. It actually fuels me. So they can try whatever they want. I won’t stop,” she said to RSBN.
