Christina Pushaw jabs Hochul, says NY gov ‘admits Florida was right all along’ about school closures

DeSantis campaign Rapid Response Director Christina Pushaw appeared to take great pleasure in New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s bringing an end to the deep blue state’s controversial COVID measures in schools such as quarantines and kids being forced to stay home if they tested positive, taking to Twitter to needle the Democrat for admitting that “Florida was right all along.”

Hochul officially gave up the ghost on New York’s failed policies which have frustrated parents and children back in their developmental and educational progress, decisions that were made more in line with political science than the real thing.

During a Friday speech delivered to commemorate Women’s Equality Day, Hochul admitted that the impact of sending kids home due to COVID was a disaster.

Wow. Wow. What a mistake that was. What a mistake that was,” she said. “Women couldn’t go their jobs. They lost their jobs, or they thought they’re back at their jobs and one child in a classroom tests positive, the whole class goes home for a week and a half. It was chaos, nothing short of chaos, and it just seems to have not ended.”

“Shortly after attacking Florida (again), NY governor admits Florida was right all along,” Pushaw wrote, along with a video of Hochul’s remarks.

The attack that she was likely referring to was the governor’s call for over 5 million New York Republican taxpayers to get the hell out because they are unfit.

“Just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong. OK? Get out of town! Get out of town! Because you don’t represent our values,” she said.

“You are not New Yorkers you’re not New Yorkers,” Hochul added at a Monday campaign rally in Kingston.

Twitter users reacted to Pushaw’s jab of Hochul.

Earlier in the week, the New York Democrat announced that there would be no more quarantining this year

“No more quarantining — no more ‘test to stay,’” she told reporters at a Manhattan press conference. “The days of sending an entire classroom home because one person was symptomatic or tested positive — those days are over.”
