Much was hidden from the public in the heavily redacted search warrant affidavit for the FBI’s raid on former President Donald J. Trump’s South Florida residence but one thing that wasn’t was the name of Kash Patel and he’s furious about it.
The former Trump administration official has been outspoken about the storming of Mar-a-Lago and the right of the ex-POTUS to declassify documents, telling Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that Trump “can literally stand over a set of documents and say ‘these are now declassified,” during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures” earlier this month.
Patel swung back at what he called “political vengeance,” blasting the “government gangsters” who he claimed put his safety at risk by not redacting his name.
“Today marks another vicious attack from DOJ/FBI who intentionally jeopardized my safety by un-redacting my name in the most reviewed search warrant in the history of the United States,” he said in a statement posted to Truth Social. “This cartel of corruption inside our government is so devoid of concern about national security, they could not be bothered to see the judge in-person. Instead, they literally called in the raid on the home of a former president via the FBI’s best friend, Zuckerberg’s WhatsApp.”

“This same FBI has been investigating death threats made against me due to baseless political overreach by government gangsters and in their greed for political vengeance, have threatened my safety again,” Patel continued. “Me, a former national security prosecutor, Deputy DNI, Chief of Staff for DoD, and lead investigator for Russia Gate – the very investigation they continue to work so hard to cover up.”
“Brown Lives Matter,” he wrote. “These gangsters are on on notice.”
Trump’s enemies were overjoyed that Patel’s name was on full display in the affidavit, former FBI special agent Peter Strzok took to Twitter to gloat.
“Never great to see your unredacted name in a search warrant affidavit,” he wrote. “To borrow from Eric Hirschman, ‘I’m going to give you the best free legal advice you’re ever getting in your life. Get a great F’ing criminal defense lawyer – you’re going to need it,'” quoting former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann whose testimony was featured during the J6 committee hearings.

Also salivating over the possibility that Patel could be targeted by President Joe Biden’s Justice Department was former FBI assistant director Frank Figliuzzi, one of the many security state figures who now draws a paycheck from MSNBC, telling far-left radio host Dean Obeidallah that it was time for Patel to lawyer up.

“Can you explain to people two things. One is, can Trump just say these are declassified, and that makes them declassified?” he asked. “And secondly, can you just declassify a document, but what’s still in it, like What’s in it? Like where are all our spy locations, information, could that still be classified?” Obeidallah asked. “So if you’re leaving it around, well, the document might be declassified, you’re still putting our national security at risk because someone’s reading something that is highly sensitive to our nation”
Figliuzzi responded, “So I tell you what, why don’t you and I, when we’re done with our talk here today, let’s go offline, and both of us will file a Freedom of Information Act request to the US government and we’ll say, ‘Hey, we hear that all those pages of classified documents that were at Mar-a-Lago are declassified and we’d love to get a copy, since now they’re unclassified.’ And let’s see what the answer is.”
“Kash Patel better get an attorney, soon,” Figliuzzi added. “Because Kash Patel is the guy saying, ‘I knew all about this standing declassification order. I know all about it all.'”
