DeSantis goes full beast mode on Dr. Fauci: ‘Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac!’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis apparently has had enough of Dr. Fauci and expressed a sentiment millions are feeling when he uproariously called him an “elf” and said he should be chucked “across the Potomac” River during a speech on Wednesday.

DeSantis’ comments came during a Florida GOP “Keep Florida Free” event in Seminole County with Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), according to WFLA News.

Fauci, 81, announced he is stepping down from long-held positions in December and that can’t be soon enough for the Republican firebrand who is a vocal and ardent detractor of Biden’s chief medical adviser.

“We were the ones who stood on the wall, more than any other state, to say we are not going to be locking people down, and we’re going to be lifting people up,” DeSantis asserted.

“You have people like Fauci saying that his lockdowns didn’t cause any permanent damage to any young kids. I got news for you. It did. And we’re going to reap those rewards across the whole country for years and years and years because they treated kids so poorly,” he continued.

“I’m just sick of seeing him. I know he says he’s going to retire. Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac,” DeSantis told a wildly cheering crowd.

Pivoting to Biden, DeSantis stated, “Joe Biden is the worst president of my lifetime.”

DeSantis is uncontested in Florida as the Republican gubernatorial nominee. Voters love his blunt, no-holds-barred approach to the left and Fauci fits that bill nicely.

Fauci has asserted he is not “retiring” but is “moving on from my current positions.”

“I am announcing today that I will be stepping down from the positions of Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, as well as the position of Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden,” he stated.

“I will be leaving these positions in December of this year to pursue the next chapter of my career,” Fauci announced. “I want to use what I have learned as NIAID Director to continue to advance science and public health and to inspire and mentor the next generation of scientific leaders as they help prepare the world to face future infectious disease threats.”

The virologist has claimed that former President Trump and the right’s rhetoric against him has led to “serious threats” against him and his family and that resulted in a federal security detail being assigned to him.

As Fauci announced his intention to step down, many GOP leaders called for an investigation into his leadership and actions during the pandemic. Republicans informed him that stepping down would not prevent him from being investigated and prosecuted if it is deemed appropriate.

During a speech later in the day, DeSantis went after President Biden and the left with a great deal of vigor and enthusiasm, tearing into them for woke policies that have devastated the nation.

“We’ve proudly said Florida is the state where woke goes to die,” the governor proclaimed and then savaged Biden.

“You’ve got to understand with the border it’s a policy disaster,” DeSantis said according to WFLA, “but it’s also a constitutional failure. Biden took an oath to take care that the laws of this country are faithfully executed.”

DeSantis has absolutely no respect for Biden and openly mocks him, saying what many Americans think.

He also blasted the federal government’s new student loan forgiveness plan.

“The colleges should be on the hook for this,” DeSantis declared. “They’re the ones who have benefited from all this money and I think Harvard’s got a $50 billion endowment. Let them pay off the loans.”
