‘They want some of that white-man power’: MSNBC accuses Kari Lake, female Trump supporters of toxic masculinity

In merely just two minutes, MNSBC — a network that often seems like a self-parody and regularly pedals conspiracy theories — managed to trot out an array of absurd left-wing tropes that included accusing female GOP candidates of so-called toxic masculinity.

On “The Cross Connection,” journalist Errin Haines claimed, without evidence, that “women like [Harriet Hageman], women like Kari Lake in Arizona, are proof that toxic masculinity that Trump displays is not limited to gender. I mean, these are women who are willing to embrace ‘the big lie,’ and Kari Lake, for her part, really leaning in, referring to BDE on the campaign trail in some sort of effort to energize voters. I’m not really sure who thinks that’s criteria for running or holding office.”

In the video clip embedded above during which the race and gender cards were let loose, host Tiffany Cross then chimed in about Hageman and Lake that “they, too, are fighting for toxic masculinity. That’s a quintessential ‘problem’ with the Phyllis Schlaflys of the world. They want some of that white-man power. So to uphold that they will help uphold it, they will help defend it.”

In a remark that is open to interpretation, or maybe not, Cross added that “We see that with Kari Lake, who clearly does not know what BDE looks like.”

Ironically, liberals who thrive on vulgarities faked outrage when America First star Lake joked at an Arizona rally with the Florida governor that both he and President Trump have big d–k energy, which she also labeled big DeSantis energy.

Former broadcaster Lake is the high-energy GOP nominee for Arizona governor.

Unlike most of the corporate media, Tiffany Cross appeared unwilling to heap praise on Wyoming primary loser Liz Cheney, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Trump-loathing neocon pawn on the partisan January 6 committee.

“Liz Cheney is no hero. She voted with Donald Trump. She did not push back on the ‘birther’ claims. She called Eric Holder’s Justice Department the department of jihad. So really she was a Trump acolyte until the ‘monster’ she helped create started to cannibalize and turn on her,” Cross contended. “There’s not a lot of daylight between her and Donald Trump despite their bickering now.”

Haines, however, lauded Cheney because “in her role as co-chair of the January 6 committee has used her platform to really lift up women who have spoken up and spoken out against ‘the big lie,’ and really pointed out the older white men who have stood by and remained silent and complicit while our democracy remains under threat. But that cost her her leadership in the Republican Party, and now will apparently cost her her seat in Congress.”

This is also another example of how, in coordinated messaging, the authoritarian, anti-free-speech left has positioned itself as a protector of democracy.

Last week, Cross asserted that a civil war has already begun in the United States following alleged threats by the right against the FBI after the agency’s unprecedented raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. Cross also recently gave a platform to the premise that there is a racial component to which demographic groups are suffering the most under Bidenflation.
