‘Who cares, another dead cop’: Woke firefighter suspended after mocking death of murdered cop

Miami Fire Chief Joseph Zahralban has placed a woke firefighter on suspension pending an investigation after the fireman went online and mocked the tragic murder of a Miami police officer.

A five-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department, Cesar “Echy” Echaverry, 29, was shot in the head on Monday night while confronting a robber.

On Wednesday, he succumbed to his injuries.

The city’s police director, Alfredo Ramirez, broke the tragic news on Twitter.

“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Officer Cesar ‘Echy’ Echaverry. Surrounded by loved ones, Echy succumbed to his injuries after a brief battle for his life,” he tweeted. “Officer Echaverry died in the line of duty while serving & protecting our community. Our law enforcement family will continue to stand beside & support the Echaverry family through this difficult time.”

“We’ll never forget Officer Echaverry’s bravery & sacrifice,” Ramirez added. “Godspeed, brother.”

And that’s when Miami firefighter, Kevin Newcomb, went on a forum and made his callous virtue signal.

“Who cares another dead cop probably against gun control,” Newcomb wrote. “Cops exist for the government to exercise its monopoly on violence. They want the whole world to stop when one of theirs goes down.”

And Newcomb didn’t stop there.

“How many idiots I had to transport with honor guard their dead bodies from coronavirus because they were all too stupid to wear masks or get vaccinated,” he continued.

The firefighter was apparently determined to set his career and reputation ablaze.

“All cops are for is protecting the rich property owners and the status quo,” he stated. “Everything else is a farce.”

And in case he hadn’t made his feelings for the Blue perfectly clear, Newcomb added, “F*** the police.”

In a statement, Chief Zahralban said his department was aware of Newcomb’s rant.

“We have been made aware of a message that has been circulating regarding a written statement posted by one of our members,” his statement read. “At this time, we are conducting an investigation into the statements that were made and the individual has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the investigation.”

“We want to be very clear that we, as an organization, do not share the views or beliefs that were written and do not reflect the values of our organization,” the statement continued. “As public safety professionals, police officers and firefighters depend on one another to ensure our mutual safety. It is the foundation of our working relationship and the source of our respect for one another.”

“We continue to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement, alongside the Echaverry Family and the entire Miami-Dade Police Department during this difficult time.”
