Former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz joined the streaming network Real America’s Voice and said that although he’s a liberal Democrat, he doesn’t want to see former President Trump disqualified from running for another term in 2024.
“Look, I’m a liberal Democrat, I voted for [Joe Biden],” Dershowitz told John Solomon on “Just the News Not Noise.”
“I’m not gonna vote for Trump if he runs for reelection. I want to have the right to vote against him, I don’t want to see bureaucrats deny me that right to vote against him, that’s what democracy is,” he said.
Dershowitz said he believes Trump’s opponents are making a concerted effort to “try to get him disqualified from running.”

“I don’t think it’s gonna work,” the legal pundit said to the contrary. “I think it actually, probably has strengthened his base of support.”
He continued, “There are three kinds of people out there. There are the anti-Trump haters, for whom anything that happens to Trump – professor Laurence Tribe – it doesn’t matter, he’ll trash the Constitution to get Trump,” he opined.
“Then there are the Trump lovers. Doesn’t matter how much evidence they might have, it’s not possible that Trump did anything wrong.”
“Then, there is the vast majority of neutral Americans who want to see justice done, who want to see fair justice. They don’t want a different rule for Hillary Clinton and Sandy Berger on the one hand, and President Trump on the other hand. They want to see equal justice under the law.”
Recently, Dershowitz made the laughable assertion that President Joe Biden is a moderate, which Fox Business Network firebrand Maria Bartiromo would not entertain on her dime, as BPR reported.
“Alan, I’ve got to go back to something you just said, because you said Joe Biden was moderate,” the “Sunday Morning Futures” host said, after returning from a commercial break. “You said he has moderate policy. You said he’s passed some good things. You said he did a good job in Ukraine. I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
She continued, “This is not a moderate president. We have another spending bill that they’re negotiating right now which will likely stoke inflation. And on Ukraine, he offered Zelenskyy a flight out of there on Week One so that Russia would just take over, so I don’t know what you’re talking about….”
Dershowitz responded that “compared to President Trump, who I did not vote for. I defended him against an unconstitutional impeachment, but I didn’t vote for him. But compared to President Trump, the current president, Biden, is a moderate. So is his attorney general.”
Bartiromo wasn’t having it.
“No, he’s not a moderate. He’s not a moderate. It’s just not true, and I know that’s the BS line the Democrats have been trying to sell us since Day One during the campaign. But his actions and his policies are indicative that he’s not a moderate…not only is he not a moderate, but his son has been selling influence, Hunter Biden, and the investigation is continuing there.”
Relevant to the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and Dershowitz’s wish that he be able to cast a vote against the former president, some responses came forth on Twitter.
At least for many Americans it crystallizes the loss of faith in government institutions such as the FBI and the DOJ. Trump may have gotten the crowd’s going by saying lock her up, However in reality he left Hillary alone.
