Former Kamala Harris spox insists that FBI storming of Mar-a-Lago wasn’t a raid; Twitter begs to differ

Some Democrats are trying to downplay the FBI’s storming of former President Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and much like was done with changing the definition of what a recession means, a former top aide to Vice President Kamala Harris is claiming what went down in Palm Beach on Monday wasn’t a raid.

Symone Sanders, who is one of numerous Harris staffers who have departed the dysfunctional environment in the veep’s office for a much less stressful job as a pundit at MSNBC, engaged in a bit of gaslighting over what even members of her own party are referring to as a raid, an unprecedented storming of the home of the opposition party leader that has resulted in outrage that the Biden regime has finally gone too far.

Sanders, who hosts the weekend show “Symone” on the cable TV propaganda megaphone for the Democratic Party, took to Twitter to plead with those in the reality-based world.

“Please folks stop calling it a “raid,” she wrote.

But even Sanders’ own MSNBC colleagues are calling it a raid, including Lawrence O’Donnell of “The Last Word” who said, “The FBI raided Donald Trump’s Florida home today on the 48th anniversary, today is the 48th anniversary of the day that Republican president Richard Nixon announced that he was resigning the presidency,” staying true to the left’s strange fixation with Watergate.

O’Donnell also used the term on Twitter to dismiss and diminish the Trump supporters who turned out at Mar-a-Lago after the FBI raid.

One big-name Democrat who not only called the banana republic-style storming of Trump’s home by heavily-armed federal goons but called for a Justice Department explanation was disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

“DOJ must immediately explain the reason for its raid & it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives or it will be viewed as a political tactic and undermine any future credible investigation & legitimacy of January 6 investigations,” he wrote on Twitter.

And White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre didn’t exactly discourage the use of the term “raid” during Tuesday’s daily press briefing.

Radio host and former NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch noted the obvious, “The people who called a riot an ‘insurrection’ are super sensitive about you calling a raid a raid.”

The plea from Harris’ ex-spox was greeted by all of the mockeries that it was deserving of – and then some – from Twitter users.
