Pink Floyd’s co-founder Roger Waters defended himself after calling President Biden a “war criminal,” accusing him of “fueling the fire in the Ukraine,” while smacking NATO as well for its involvement in the conflict.

Instead of toning down his political rhetoric in his latest “This Is Not a Drill” tour, the controversial rocker doubled down.
According to CNN, he brashly contends, “If you’re one of those ‘I love Pink Floyd, but I can’t stand Roger’s politics’ people, you might do well to f*** off to the bar.”
When CNN asked Waters, 78, in a heated interview why he included Biden in a slideshow of “war criminals” during his solo tour shows, he contended that the president had earned the title.
He told CNN’s columnist and commentator Michael Smerconish, “Well, he’s [Biden] fueling the fire in the Ukraine, for a start – that is a huge crime.”
If someone is going on about NATO war crimes while Russian troops are castrating people and putting their heads on spikes, they are either a Chinese government official, Roger Waters, Noam Chomsky, Jeremy Corbyn or Amnesty International.

“Why won’t the United States of America encourage [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy, the [Ukrainian] president, to negotiate, obviating the need for this horrific, horrendous war that’s killing … We don’t know how many Russians,” Waters stated, conveniently leaving out the part where Russia started the conflict and has murdered untold Ukrainians in an effort to conquer the country.
Smerconish told Waters as much and that he was wrong to blame “the party that got invaded.”
The Pink Floyd icon, who many call an antisemite, wasn’t having any of that argument. He instead laid the blame on NATO and Biden for somehow causing the conflict.
“Well, any war, when did it start? What you need to do is look at the history, and you can say, ‘Well it started on this day.’ You could say it started in 2008 – this war is basically about the action and reaction of NATO pushing right up to the Russian border, which they promised they wouldn’t do when [Mikhail] Gorbachev negotiated the withdrawal of the USSR from the whole of Eastern Europe,” Waters noted.
To the naive tool of Kremlin propaganda @rogerwaters
In 2008, Germany and France opposed the inclusion of Georgia and Ukraine in NATO.
Putin then invaded Georgia, taking 20% of country, and Ukraine, taking 20% of the country.

He went on to defend the Russians for protecting the world from the “Nazi menace.”
“You got into World War II because of Pearl Harbor. You were completely isolationists [beforehand],” Waters stated. “Thank God the Russians had already won the bloody war by then. Twenty-three million Russians died, protecting you and me from the Nazi menace.”
“I would suggest that you… go away and read a bit more, and try to figure out what the US would do if the Chinese were putting nuclear-armed missiles into Mexico and Canada,” he asserted.
If @rogerwaters wants to sympathize with Russian murderers and Chinese invaders, repeating RT state media talking points and guano from Beijing, he himself should “fuck off to the bar” and spare us the propaganda.

Smerconish responded, stating that the Chinese are “too busy encircling Taiwan as we speak.”
“Taiwan is part of China. That has been absolutely accepted by the whole of the international community since 1948. If you don’t know that you aren’t reading enough. You are believing your side’s propaganda. You can’t have a conversation about human rights and Taiwan without actually doing the reading,” Waters said, denigrating the reporter.
“The Chinese didn’t invade Iraq and kill a million people in 2013. Who have the Chinese invaded and slaughtered?” Waters asked.
“Their own,” Smerconish replied.
Waters raged in response, “Bullocks! That’s absolute nonsense! Absolute nonsense!”
Tibet in 1950, millions of their own people via the Great Leap Forward from 1958-1962, Vietnam in 1979, Uyghurs now, etc.
Either Roger Waters is completely ignorant to the history of China or he does know and simply chooses to ignore it.
Regardless, he’s an ignorant fool. https://t.co/oVW0JXXFXr
