Ana Navarro spews ‘stunningly stupid’ claim about GOP having ‘mistresses’ in response to Kansas abortion vote

If you’re looking for a serious analysis of complex political issues, the last person you’d probably turn to is CNN contributor and newly-anointed permanent co-host of “The View,” Ana Navarro — unless you are CNN host Don Lemon, in which case you’ll sit at attention and eagerly listen as Navarro explains that Kansas voters struck down anti-abortion legislation because Republican voters cheat on their wives.

As BizPac Review reported, Kansas proved the Constitution works just fine on Tuesday, when voters elected to keep in place abortion rights following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and return the power to legislate back to the states where it belongs.

On the ballot was the option for voters to overturn a state Supreme Court decision that declared abortion to be a constitutional right in Kansas. Rather than seize the opportunity as many had hoped they would, voters declined to reverse the ruling.

While pro-life conservatives were understandably deflated by the vote, Kansas lawmakers vowed to continue fighting for the unborn.

“The defeat this evening is disappointing,” state Sen. Molly Baumgardner (R) stated, according to NPR. “That struggle for truth, and the struggle for life, is going to continue in the state of Kansas.”

When asked by Lemon why Republican voters would do such a thing, Navarro stated, “Because Republicans like their rights, too. Because Republicans have young girls, young daughters who get pregnant, too.”

“Because Republicans have mistresses,” she added with confidence.

The American people are simply unwilling to relinquish rights they have grown accustomed to having, the CNN correspondent argued.

Kansas Republicans struck down the measure because “this is not an issue that is one side or the other,” Navarro said. “And because this is an issue where people have had rights for 50 years, and taking out a right is one of the most difficult things you can do after people have got used to that right.”

Not “in all of our lifetime” has Kansas voted for a Democrat, Navarro noted, proving — at least to her — that Republicans are adulterous hypocrites.

“There are there are congresspeople right now, your — Republican U.S. congresspeople, people who were pro, anti-abortion, who it was revealed had sent their girlfriends to have abortions,” she said. “There are many, many people who are incredibly double-faced and hypocritical when it comes to this.”

On Twitter, Navarro’s take on the issue was met with copious amounts of ridicule.

“[Ana Navarro] has got to be one of the most idiotic people on television,” tweeted one user. “She has to be this dumb to be on the dumbest show on television.”

“They’re unhappy when they lose, and unhappy when they win,” noted another user. “It’s hard to take people like this seriously.”

“Stunningly stupid,” said a third. “Both of them.”
