Woman with NY license plate refuses to drive through red states because she doesn’t feel safe: ‘Am I being obtuse?’

A viral tweet is indicative of the unhinged fear that liberals dramatize when it comes to visiting red states such as Texas, Kentucky, or Florida and how unsafe one New York resident claims to feel driving through conservative America.

“My husband thinks I’m crazy because I refuse to visit or even drive THROUGH a red state because I dont feel safe. Would you drive through Kentucky or Texas with NY State license plates? Am I being obtuse?” a liberal New Yorker tweeted.

The tweet set off a ton of reactions on social media. It currently has over 9,600 likes, so either the bots are very busy or there are a lot of very scared leftists out there.

The responses to the drama queen liberal were just epic.

The publisher of American Spectator, Melissa Mackenzie, explains the abject terror of living in Texas: “Texas is so scary. I’ve lived in fear for 25 years. Don’t come here. You’ll be killed with kindness. Stay in your blue state. Mask up. Be safe.”

Tablet Magazine’s Noam Blum tweeted, “Congratulations for letting mass media scare you into stupidity.”

Another user expressed a sentiment that many agree with, “I’d rather drive through a red state with NY plates then have to ride the NYC subway system.”

One conservative snarked, “No, of course not. It is much safer to drive through the blue cities of Baltimore, Chicago, New Orleans, Milwaukee and Philadelphia. Don’t even think about the New York plates. That won’t signify affluence to the natives.”

One person shared their horrific experience after being subjected to conservative behavior: “My husband and I were driving through the Ozarks and stopped at a small bank. The teller invited us to her house because her husband just finished building a pizza oven and they were going to make a bunch of pizzas. Absolutely terrifying. Still shaking.”

“I’m sure the people of Texas and Kentucky are heartbroken that you won’t visit or drive through their state. I was just talking to a buddy of mine who is a Texas cop and he was in tears, begging me to try to talk to you to change your mind. He can only pray for your approval,” another individual hilariously commented.

Don’t even get Democrats started on Florida’s new license plate that is being promoted by Governor Ron DeSantis (R).

“The free state of Florida has a new license plate for pre-order that benefits the Florida Veterans Foundation and sends a clear message to out-of-state cars, ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ or Florida,” he tweeted, causing a massive meltdown on the left.

His spokesperson Christina Pushaw also knocked the left on Twitter: “The latest fake news hysteria is about the new Gadsden Flag license plate @GovRonDeSantis announced to help Florida veterans in need. Media is smearing this as a ‘racist’/’domestic terrorist’ symbol, which is absurd!”
