The left’s bizarre lovefest for chief January 6 committee inquisitor Rep. Liz Cheney has been a strange political phenomenon considering the animosity for Republicans as well as for her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and nationally syndicated radio personality Charlamagne tha God threw a bucket of cold water on the red hot passions for the embattled congresswoman during a Monday appearance on “The View.”
The “Breakfast Club” host whose political opinions are catnip to the media punctured the hero worship balloon when he declined to go along with the narrative that the malicious actor Cheney is an American hero by accusing her of being an enabler of former President Donald J. Trump, a man who is despised by the show’s gaggle of shrieking leftist harpies.
Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey begged to differ with co-host Ana Navarro who described the Wyoming lawmaker who faces a Trump-backed challenger in the Wyoming primary next month as a “profile in courage” before asking for his take which clearly was not what she was expecting.
“… talking before you came out. We were talking about politics, and we were talking about Liz Cheney,” Navarro said. “And there are some people, like me, who see her as a profile in courage, as a historical figure, as somebody who’s…,”
“Liz Cheney?” Charlamagne asked incredulously.
“Yes. How do you see her?” Navarro replied as some in the audience laughed.
“None of those things,” he said. “I mean, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t, I mean, that’s a broad question. How do I see her? Like….“
“Yeah, because some people see her as a hero in today’s politics,” Navarro responded.
“No,” he said.
“Some people see her as a zero,” Navarro continued.
Co-host Joy Behar threw in her two cents, “Well, she’s standing up to people who say that the election… was…was stolen.“
Charlamagne tha God shot back, “Yeah, but she was complicit for four years. I mean, when you ride with Donald Trump on damn near everything for four years, I don’t think you can be considered a hero. Not to mention after January 6th, she voted against the John Lewis Voting Rights Bill. So, you can’t tell me that you’re standing up for democracy when you won’t even vote to preserve the cornerstone of democracy, which is voting.”
“She’s not a hero,” he added to applause from the audience.
Cheney, along with previously loathed figures including George W. Bush and Mitt Romney, has been rehabilitated in the eyes of The Resistance for their opposition to Trump, a mutual hate that has served as the glue holding a disparate collection of competing interest groups together with many crossing over into the domain of delusion with some fantasizing about a presidential run.

Despite the very real possibility that she will be drubbed in her state primary, Cheney whose hubris has no limits appeared on Sunday morning television this week where she set her sights on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas by threatening to subpoena his wife to appear before the Soviet-style political tribunal and teased a 2024 White House bid where she could present herself as the RINO alternative to Trump.

The establishment left’s hero worship of Cheney is yet another example of their hypocrisy and lack of principles as well as more evidence that they would shower praises on Satan himself if he came out in opposition to Trump.
