Having served as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984, Dr. Anthony Fauci can see that, in one form or another, the end of the road is drawing near. So, as with everything he has done throughout his career, the 81-year-old Fauci’s announcement about how late he would hold off before retiring is as politically motivated as you’d expect.
After conducting a sit-down interview with Fauci from his office in Bethesda, Md., Politico reported that he would be stepping down before the end of President Joe Biden’s term. While claiming to wish to see an end to the politicization of COVID, the chief medical adviser to the president contended Republicans were going to investigate him whether he stuck around or not.
“They’re going to try and come after me, anyway. I mean, probably less so if I’m not in the job,” he suggested before claiming, “I don’t make that a consideration in my career decision.”
Instead, he reasoned that his forthcoming departure was related to the current state of the pandemic and his conclusion that COVID has become something the public will just have to learn to live with. “We’re in a pattern now. If somebody says, ‘You’ll leave when we don’t have Covid anymore,’ then I will be 105. I think we’re going to be living with this.”
“What we have right now, I think we’re almost at a steady state,” he added only days after pushes for renewed mask mandates, travel restrictions, and boosters were being peddled.

“I don’t think they can say anything about the science,” Fauci claimed of the possibility of Republican-led investigations despite the numerous contradictions pertaining to masking, vaccine efficacy, gain-of-function research, COVID origins, viral transmission, PCR testing, and basically every facet on the pandemic since it began.
“If that’s what you want to investigate, be my guest. My telling somebody that it’s important to follow fundamental good public health practices … what are you going to investigate about that?” he posited.
Meanwhile, he went on to lament the ongoing and worsening challenges faced in trying to get Americans to follow the guidance.
“It’s becoming more and more difficult to get people to listen, because even the people who are compliant want this behind them. What I try to convince them [of], with my communication method, is we’re not asking you to dramatically alter your lifestyle. We’re not asking you to really interfere with what you do with your life. We’re just asking you to consider some simple, doable mitigation methods,” he said.
This he claimed while, as the highest paid government official, his life went relatively unchanged and tens of thousands lost their jobs and continue to do so because of ethically, medically, scientifically and constitutionally questionable mandates and the immeasurable economic, emotional, mental, and physical consequences still compounding from lockdowns.
“I don’t think there is anything else that I, Tony Fauci, can do except leave behind an institution where I have picked the best people in the country, if not the world, who will continue my vision,” he added narcissistically, despite the reality that health experts are quitting the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reportedly because of the routine use of “flawed data to make critically important public health decisions.”

The one thing that Fauci has gotten correct through all of this is that whether or not he waits for the end of Biden’s administration to step down, an effort to investigate any and every possible wrongdoing under his watch will take place. Members of Congress have already said as much.
Whether Fauci retires or not, he still must be investigated and held responsible for his role in Covid-19.

Fauci pushed for lockdowns, mandates, and firing every American who chose not to take the vaccine.
Now he want to "put COVID politicization behind him"?
What a farce. https://t.co/VPbtukwdeC

Fauci thinks he's just going to retire and move on with his life.
Not on my watch. He belongs in jail.
