Comedy has been described as tragedy plus time. While making light of the economic disaster unfolding, thanks in no small part to President Joe Biden’s leadership, may feel a bit like playing with a string quartet on the sinking Titanic, even prematurely a bit of humor can go a long way.
That seemed to be the driving impetus behind social media user The Morning Spew issuing a call Saturday for fellow denizens of Twitter to make light of the damages of inflation with some sprightly hashtag activism.
With a post that read, “Calling all of my friends! Liberals, Conservatives & In-Betweens! Let’s help each other survive Biden. Please share your best #BidenEconomyTips Remember, we’re all in this together!” the account quickly got the hashtag ball rolling with an entry that suggested, “Buy an electric car big enough for the family to sleep in.”

Spew wasn’t alone with the great suggestions on cost-cutting with the consumer price index hitting 9.1 percent. Lots of users had unique solutions on how to use things already around the house to supplement for food and medicine.

These tips were great and all, but with summer well underway, many were faced with concerns on how to deal with oppressive heat with energy prices rising by as much as 167 percent in some regions. Let not your heart be troubled because there were all kinds of suggested ways to beat the heat if you’re not tough enough to cope with a little bit of sweating.

In case you thought these great ideas were relegated to the plebes among us, it’s important to note that Biden has been leading by example for quite sometime. Even before elected to the presidency, he and the whole Biden family were finding unique ways to make their dollars go further.

The Biden Economy Tips are part of a whole of government approach, and we’ve certainly witnessed the way the administration has utilized them. In fact, Vice President Kamala Harris may also have been finding ways to cut back even before she was tapped to be the president’s running mate. Too many cooks ruin the meal, so always toss your own word salads.
