A Canadian judge has ruled against a woman who was denied an organ transplant because of her not having taken the jab, yet another example of the sad transformation of what was once a free country into a dystopian COVID fascist state under the helm of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
On Tuesday, Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Paul Belzil decided that the constitutional rights of the Alberta woman were not violated when she was told that she was not eligible for her spot on an Edmonton-based transplant program’s donor waiting list because she hadn’t been vaccinated, stating that changing the rules would result in “medical chaos.”
Annette Lewis, who was diagnosed with a chronic, progressive disease for which there is no cure in 2018, was told by doctors that she wouldn’t survive without the transplant which tests found that she was healthy enough to receive.
“Beginning in 2020, she was advised to get a series of vaccinations, including childhood vaccinations, as her immunization history could not be located. She agreed and got all the vaccines,” the CBC reported. “But in March 2021, when she was told that she required a COVID-19 vaccine in order to receive the transplant, she refused.”
“Taking this vaccine offends my conscience,” Lewis said in an affidavit to the court. “I ought to have the choice about what goes into my body and a life-saving treatment cannot be denied to me because I chose not to take an experimental treatment for a condition — COVID-19 — which I do not have and which I may never have.”
“I accept without hesitation that her concerns about the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines are genuine and deeply rooted,” wrote Justice Belzil. “I do not accept, however, that her beliefs and desire to protect her bodily integrity entitle her to impact the rights of other patients or the integrity of the [transplant program] generally,” according to the Globe and Mail.
“No one has a right to receive [organ] transplants, and no one is forced to undergo transplantation surgery,” Belzil wrote in his decision. “It is illogical for the applicant to freely accept all other preconditions to transplantation and object to one on the basis of alleged medical coercion.”
Lawyer Allison Pejovic of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms who represents Lewis called Judge Belzil’s ruling “deeply disappointing.”

In a press release, the organization which has mounted numerous court challenges to Canada’s COVID measures said that they “will review the decision and determine whether to file an appeal.”
Other than Australia, Trudeau’s Canada has led the way into the rabid authoritarianism that so-called western “democracies” have brought to bear against their own people since the outbreak of the pandemic gave their leaders a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to seize dictatorial powers from themselves and to radically transform the way that their societies operate.
Trudeau has set himself apart from other liberal leaders with his crazed response to the truckers who protested his vaccine mandates, sending in heavily armed, militarized police and going to the extreme measure of freezing the financial accounts of dissenters.

If it stands, Judge Belzil’s ruling will serve as justification for further state-sanctioned discrimination against the unvaccinated who, in Canada, are already persecuted and treated as second-class citizens who have been routinely demonized by their government, a bad omen with the next round of COVID hysteria about to be unleashed.
