‘It shows’: New report reveals median years of business experience among Biden appointees is ZERO

As inflation continues to soar to new and dream-decimating levels, a new report confirms what many Americans have suspected: The Biden administration, tasked with fixing an economy that is quickly spiraling out of control,  has no business experience to speak of.

Literally.

The median years of business experience among Biden appointees are a big, fat ZERO.

A full 62% of the folks President Joe Biden has working on economic policy, regulation, commerce, energy, and finance have essentially no experience in the world of business, with only one in eight able to claim their business experience is “extensive.”

All told, the average business experience among the Biden administration’s top 68 officials — cabinet members, regulatory officials, White House advisors, and even Brandon himself — is a paltry 2.4 years.

That is the disturbing news from a conservative think-tank, the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, and it speaks volumes about our nation’s current economic woes.

“This study examines the business and management experience and qualifications of 68 top Democrats in the administration and in Congress who are now either making key policy decisions that affect our economy, or the people who are in charge of managing the agencies of government that influence business, banking, finance, transportation and the overall performance of our economic institutions,” the report states.

“Do they have the management experience and core competency to make the right policy decisions and to manage a massive federal bureaucracy with some agencies employing hundreds of thousands of workers and $100 budgets?” the committee asks.

While the report notes exceptions within the administration, such as Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo who was for years a successful venture capitalist, it points to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra — all of whom have almost no relevant experience, and all of whom have botched the jobs they’ve been given — as reasons the administration’s overall competency have been called into question.

What’s more, there are many who believe the economy isn’t on the top of Biden’s priority list, even if it does top the overwhelming majority of Americans’ lists.

“There is also a growing suspicion that the Biden officials are more interested in pursuing social policy objectives than expanding the economy and ensuring prosperity of our citizens,” the report states. “For example, Biden’s choice to be vice-chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, Lail Brainard, wants climate change and gender equity issues to be concerns and priorities of the nation’s central bank. Biden’s nominee for top bank regulator at the Fed has said she wants banks to stop lending to oil and gas companies.”

And then there is Michigan State University economist Lisa Cook, who “has been nominated to the Fed board with no experience in monetary policy, whose area of expertise is in the area of racial and gender equity issues — which have nothing to do with how the Fed does its primary job,” according to the report.

Perhaps most disturbing is the chairman of the House Budget Committee, John Yarmuth. It is Yarmuth’s job to try to balance our $6 trillion federal ledger, and he “has said that the government can afford to spend and borrow whatever it wants and that Congress can spend like they are the banker in the board game Monopoly.”

“How can we ever achieve a balanced budget when the person in charge of that function doesn’t want to achieve that goal?” the report asks.

Online, people hardly seemed shocked.

The most common answer to the news that Biden’s administration is lacking business experience is some version of, “And it shows.”
