Grab the croutons! Kamala serves up more word salad on Dems’ failure to codify Roe vs. Wade

Vice President Kamala Harris once again blathered nonsensically during an interview, serving up an “incoherent” word salad when asked bluntly on CBS News if Democrats failed to codify the landmark abortion case Roe vs. Wade.

CBS News correspondent Robert Costa sat down with Harris on Friday in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning the case weeks ago. The vice president was asked if Democrats in both the White House and in Congress “failed” to codify the federal protection of abortion in the almost half-century since the precedent was put in place. She should have been well-prepared to answer that question. Instead, she sounded like someone had given her brains a brief stir.

“I think all of us share a deep sense of outrage that the United States Supreme Court took a constitutional right that was recognized, took it from the women of America,” she stated. “We are now looking at a case where the government can interfere in what is one of the most intimate and private decisions that someone can make.”

“I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled. Certain issues are just settled,” Harris replied making absolutely no sense whatsoever and failing spectacularly to answer the question at hand.

“Clearly were not,” Costa responded.

“No, that’s right,” Harris stated. “And that’s why I do believe that we are living, sadly, in real unsettled times.”

Her answer was yet another confusing word salad response. Critics panned Harris over it.

“What is with this administration and an aversion to basic speaking skills and grasp of the English language?” NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck astutely asked via Twitter.

“This is incoherent. Is everything ok…?” Emma Vigeland, who is the host of the progressive YouTube show “Majority Report,” wondered.

“Captions need a bouncing ball to follow along with the words,” Ring Magazine reporter Ryan Songalia snarked on Twitter.

“Somewhere at a Montana vacation lodge someone just pumped his fist in the air,” journalist David Freedlander quipped, alluding to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s aspirations for the presidency in 2024.

Harris was pummeled as well for asserting that Roe vs. Wade was “settled.”

“How absurdly naive,” New Yorker staffer Lainna Fader stated.

“Holy cow what a bad answer. This is going to cause a Dem revolt. The GOP has been after this for decades. But the Dems thought it settled so did nothing?!” conservative radio host Erick Erickson proclaimed.

“Anyone. Who has paid. The slightest. Tiniest. Bit of attention. To women’s health issues. For the past SEVERAL DECADES. Knew. It. Was. Not. Settled,” film critic Jason Bailey commented, mercilessly bashing Harris’ comment.

She also brought up voting rights which had nothing to do with what was being discussed.

“You know, you look at it in terms of, there’s another example of this point — voting rights. You know, my parents were active in the civil rights movement,” Harris said confusing the issue even more, doubling down on the “settled” premise. “People marched and fought — broad coalitions of people across race and religion and ethnicity and gender — to say that, you know, fundamental principle of our, of our democracy is everyone should have access, who are entitled to have access, to vote. … And now you see states across the country that are intentionally making it more difficult for people to vote. We thought that was settled.”

“If you think about the Voting Rights Act, Congress acted, Civil Rights Act, Congress acted because where there was any question, especially through the courts or any other system, about the sanctity of these rights, we decided as a nation, we would put it into law,” Harris concluded. “That’s what we need to do with Roe and the principles behind Roe.”

The disastrous interview is yet another in a long line of such encounters Harris has engaged in. Many suggest it’s a tactic she uses when she does not want to directly answer embarrassing questions. Instead of deflecting, it makes her look incompetent when she repeats a word three times as if it is a magical incantation.

She did the same thing on Tuesday when she visited Highland Park, Illinois following a horrific mass shooting at a 4th of July parade that left seven dead and over 30 wounded.

“We’ve got to take this stuff seriously, as seriously as you are because you have been forced to take this seriously,” Harris told glass-eyed reporters and stunned residents, whose brains could not process her moronic answer.

“The whole nation should understand and have a level of empathy to understand that this could happen anywhere [to] any people in any community. And we should stand together and speak out about why it’s got to stop,” she cringingly added.
