Pilot Vincent Frasier was forced to land his single-engine aircraft on a North Carolina highway after experiencing engine failure, and it was all caught on tape.
Being a pilot means knowing that someday you may have to contend with mid-air emergencies, but Frasier handled the situation like a champ and, despite being forced to land on a roadway amid traffic, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
Footage from the plane shows the pilot navigating some light traffic as he tried to land.

The emergency occurred as Frasier took his father-in-law to see a Fontana Lake property he had just purchased. At some point during their flight, the only engine started to fail.
“I started going through my checklist and I was able to get the aircraft to restart and kind of fly a little bit, but she would only fly for 3 to 5 seconds, and then she would come back down and start to sink again,” Frasier explained to local news station News 13.
“By the grace of God, I looked to my left, and you couldn’t see it before because, you know, it’s just all valleys and mountains, but there’s a road — that road that I landed on just right there, perfectly lined up,” he continued.

Other than being on a curve (which would add some difficulty points for sure), textbook emergency landing. Well done! Looks like a Cessna with a landing speed somewhere around 60-70mph, so well-suited to a highway.
