‘This is about the future of the liberal world order’: Biden ‘articulates stakes,’ top official confirms

The days of cheap gasoline aren’t coming back in the near future and Americans need to brace themselves for an extended period of pain as it becomes increasingly clear that other than cosmetic gestures, the White House isn’t going to do a thing to help them and now a top Biden administration economic aide may have let the cat out of the bag by saying that sacrifice is needed for the good of the “liberal world order.”

On Thursday, National Economic Council Chairman Brian Deese appeared on “CNN Newsroom” after Biden’s G7 press conference in which the leader of the free world said that Americans will need to suffer for “as long as it takes” to accomplish the regime’s objectives in Ukraine.

CNN’s Victor Blackwell, who noted that the conflict could drag on for years, asked Deese, “What do you say to those families who say ‘listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon’ for months if not years, this is just not sustainable?”

Deese, who is another of the Obama retreads working for Biden responded, “Well what you heard from the president today was a clear articulation of the stakes, this is about the future of the liberal world order and we have to stand firm.”

“But at the same time, what I’d say to that family and Americans across the country is you have a president and administration that is going to everything in its power to blunt those price increases and bring those prices down,” he added, saying that the “good news” is that gas prices have come down about 20 cents, babbling on about measures that won’t likely offer immediate relief.

Blackwell then pressed Deese on the latest polls, showing that not only is Biden’s approval rating continuing along its downward spiral, but that an astounding 85 percent of U.S. adults believe that the country is on the wrong track.

Deese acknowledged that “people are understandably frustrated when they’re pulling up at the gas pump and that’s understandable and at the same time, it is our job and it’s the president’s firm conviction that what he can do as president is to take every responsible action that he has, and we have, and also remind the American people that even as we go through this challenging period, even while we move through this transition, we also have made historic economic progress.”

Twitter reacted to Deese’s insistence that Americans must sacrifice their own economic well-being for the good of the greater liberal world order.

Biden himself has confessed that high gas prices are a part of a much larger objective, the elimination of the fossil fuel industry.

“When it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” he recently said.
