As the nation descends deeper into divisive chaos in the wake of explosive Supreme Court rulings, with Americans choosing between rent, food, and gas, and as crime continues to cripple Democratic-run cities, actor and vocal Christian conservative Jon Voight has issued a plea to a nation that is “feeling very unsafe”: ‘We must stop this now.”
“My dear friends,” Voight began in a video released to Twitter on Tuesday, “we’re all saddened by so much turmoil that has been brought upon this life we live.”
“Can this darkness be lifted?” he asked. “Can we all share joy once again and see eye-to-eye?”

The first step in restoring the America we know and love, according to Voight, is to make Americans safe again.
“We have a troubled nation with much horror from these criminals that are ruining lives,” he said. “We must stop this now. We must bring back our nation’s safety. Our police force must act on righteousness and guard our neighborhoods, our businesses, our children, our elderly, our veterans, and our handicapped. We must protect this nation and bring back safety.”
The fact is, psychologists will tell you that, unless “deficit needs” are met — basic, fundamental necessities of life — “growth needs,” such as becoming the best, “self-actualized” person you can be, can not be fully achieved.
In other words, it’s nearly impossible to be a positive, healthy person — or for that matter, a positive, healthy nation — if your time must be spent stressing over and fighting for the basic things you need to survive.
In Maslow’s “Hierarchy of Needs,” safety and security are only one step above air, water, food, and shelter.
According to Maslow and most psychologists, a sense of security is simply essential to psychological well-being.
At the base of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is physical safety.
Holding professional meetings in locations where large swaths of your membership feel physically unsafe is a failure.

And, as Voight’s points acknowledge, many Americans are not currently feeling it.
“We’re all feeling very unsafe,” he said. “We’re all angry. And let’s remember why.”
Voight does not mince words.
“It starts with the seat of the President of the United States,” he stated. “He has wronged this nation’s glory. He has taken down our morals, our true gift of the Land of the Free.”
The solution is clear in Voight’s eyes: “He must be impeached.”
And, the actor says, it needs to happen now.
“We can not wait another second having him dictate our path,” Voight said. “Let us work together, get him out, and make this country what she stands for: greatness, the land of opportunity, the land of the greatest soil our forefathers fought for.”
“Don’t let this President Biden tear down every inch that was sacrificed with blood, sweat, and tears for his dictation of lies,” he implored Americans. “I urge all to see truths. I urge all to make a difference for our children’s future, our future, because my fellow Americans, this land is being broken down. But we as a nation of God’s truths shall build her up once again and bring her to her feet with glory.”
“God bless America,” Voight concluded, adding, “Much love to you.”
