The Supreme Court’s decision to return abortion to the states has virulently far-left actress Barbra Streisand convinced that the high court is no different than the Taliban, a jihadist group that enslaves its people and kills “infidels.”
“The Court uses religious dogma to overturn the constitutional right to abortion. This Court is the American Taliban,” she tweeted Friday afternoon.
Apparently, the same woman who sees an equivalence between the Supreme Court and one of the world’s most notorious jihadist groups also believes that the Constitution explicitly lists abortion as a right.

About an hour later, she posted another tweet linking to a fear-mongering article from The New York Times about how Justice Clarence Thomas’ lone interest in also overturning Griswold v. Connecticut, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell v. Hodges means other alleged rights may soon disappear as well.

Both tweets attracted plenty of supportive tweets from other leftists but also criticism from those who have actually studied the United States’ laws and are keenly aware of how the Taliban treats women.
Some critics noted that the U.S. Constitution does not list abortion as a right:
please show me where the Constitution gives that right. There is a right that is given to the states (& people) in the 10th Amendment, letting the states decide. Everyone tells the Feds to stay out of my life, they just did. I am pro choice btw.

Obvious you chose a career as a singer than getting a good education. You missed the civics class when they talked the constitution, you may have discovered there is nothing in there related to abortion.

Others chimed in to explain the concept of federalism to Streisand.
You need to take a basic Civics class. Nothing was banned. The decision was simply moved back into the hands of the state where even RBG said it should be. The Constitution does not address abortion; therefore, the power belongs to the states.

The US Supreme just gave the choices back to states and we are a republic as stated fron day one and when you say the pledge to the flag. So remember youre not a student of history, which you got a “D” in.

The last batch of critics urged Streisand to go live in Afghanistan for awhile to get a taste of what life under the Taliban is really like.
@BarbraStreisand where I disagree with this ruling. Go live in Afghanistan and see how close this really is. We can change this. Also not every state has trigger laws most states have abortion rights. Go ahead and see how different it is in real Taliban.

Perhaps you need to visit Afghanistan to see if your comparison is valid. Of course you won’t because you don’t really have any backbone.

Since taking control of Afghanistan last fall, the Taliban have instituted policies that “dictate what women must wear, how they should travel, workplace segregation by sex, and even what kind of cell phones women should have,” according to Human Rights Watch.
Similarly, they’ve “banned women and girls from secondary and higher education,” and they’ve limited women’s right to work so that “[o]nly those working in primary education or health care were still able to work.”
Streisand is unlikely to consider any of this. As previously reported, she’s a far-leftist with a history of sharing a photo of former President Donald Trump being murdered, defending deceased pop star Michael Jackson’s alleged pedophilia, and repeatedly threatening to leave the U.S. but never actually doing it.
That being said, knowing Streisand, she’s probably going to do nothing further but keep whining and complaining on Twitter. Because God forbid she follow feminist Gloria Steinem’s lead and put her money where her mouth is.
In an interview Friday with the New York Post, Steinem revealed that she intends to let out-of-state abortion seekers shack up in her Upper East Side apartment.
“I have a guest room. If you need to come to New York State, you can stay here. … [I]t’s only one room, but at least it’s something that I can offer,” she said.
It’s unclear what, if anything, Streisand has to offer besides incessant complaints and false equivalences …
