Ron DeSantis’ wife unveils new ‘Mamas for DeSantis’ initiative to ensure Florida parents have a voice

Strength in leadership is dynamic, requiring attentiveness to those in your charge and reliable counsel from those you surround yourself with. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has exemplified these qualities throughout his career and, through the latest initiative spearheaded by his wife Casey DeSantis, his campaign aims to ensure the people continue to have their voices heard in the Sunshine State.

It was announced Tuesday that as part of the governor’s reelection campaign, the first lady of Florida would be leading the charge for concerned parents in Florida through the launch of the initiative called “Mamas for DeSantis.” The campaign described in a press release its goal to be “the largest movement of parents in Florida history” with a “mission to keep Florida free.”

“Through the First Lady’s leadership, Mamas for DeSantis will work to support Gov. Ron DeSantis’s re-election campaign as a movement for Florida moms, grandmas, abuelas, nanas, and more to get involved in the re-election campaign,” the release stated. “With the goal of signing up a million mamas across the state of Florida, this initiative will be the largest movement of parents in Florida history.”

Describing mamas as “the backbone of our families & communities” Casey, who had only just returned to the campaign trail in May after a battle against breast cancer, expressed, “Here in Florida, we have a true leader looking out for mamas, families, and our children: my husband, Governor Ron DeSantis. It is more important than ever for us to support him this November, and Mamas for DeSantis are fired up to do just that. Florida mamas can count on Governor DeSantis to keep our families safe and our freedoms protected. We are a million mamas strong and we are on a mission to keep Florida free.”

The Parental Rights in Education law is just one of the accomplishments that DeSantis has achieved on behalf of the families in Florida who’ve voiced their concern over the indoctrination of youth in government schools. With that in mind, the state’s first lady embraced the earlier announcement of the DeSantis Education Agenda that relies upon the engagement of parents at their local school board level as a measure the initiative will support.

“We need more moms and dads standing up for their kids and their communities,” she tweeted. “I’m excited to see so much energy around the @RonDeSantisFL education agenda. I look forward to these leaders adding their voices to our students-first agenda.”

The governor added to the support of the new initiative with an enthusiastic endorsement of his own for his wife’s impact, “I am proud to have Casey by my side, and I am grateful for the example she sets for our three children. And now, I am excited to work alongside her. We are working every day to make Florida the most pro-parent state in the nation, and Mamas for DeSantis gives a voice to mothers across the state.”

As part of the effort to get mothers around Florida involved, Mamas for DeSantis aims to feature “paid media, direct mail, digital advertising, and events across the state.”
