The Left is using the Biden presidency to disseminate two grandiose lies: (1) Putin is responsible for our economic crisis; and (2) white supremacy is the cause of the breakdown of law and order. Both are designed to deflect attention away from the evil machinations of our present government.

Let’s be clear on one thing—Biden caused the current economic mess when he decided to attack the energy industry. Under Trump, the U.S. was energy independent. Why would Biden want to destroy that?

“He did it in the name of global warming,” said Bill O’Reilly. “Harvesting of fuel was cut back drastically and that caused the price of oil worldwide to rise. That caused the price of gas at the pump to rise, and that lit inflation,” said O’Reilly, “as all other goods went up in price as well because they are trucked to the stores and businesses. That is all on President Biden.”

Biden stopped issuing new permits for oil and gas leases. He canceled federal drilling permits and pipelines. Then he imposed an oil embargo on Russia. “So what happened next?” asked Tucker Carlson. “Gas went to over five dollars a gallon, inflation exploded, India and China got a whole lot more cheap Russian oil to keep their economies humming, and then the ruble got even stronger than it was before the war in Ukraine.

So,” Carlson concluded, “everyone got rich except us. We got poorer.” Thanks a lot, Joe.

But that’s not what we are being told. Biden won’t take the blame for anything. Who can he blame in this case? Russia, of course. The Democrats have been blaming Russia for everything that occurred since Trump was elected. According to Uncle Joe, costs for American consumers are being driven up by what he calls “Putin’s Price Hike.” Gas prices are higher, Biden said, because Putin single-handedly made them higher. Putin, not Biden, caused our staggering inflation.

“Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, “has caused the price of gas in the U.S. to go up $1.70 a gallon since the invasion occurred.”

“It is possible to draw legitimate connections between decisions that politicians make and the catastrophes that follow,” said Tucker Carlson. Biden made the decision to attack the fossil fuel industry and the catastrophe that followed is his baby and his alone.

The second big lie is that white supremacy is to blame for our current state of lawlessness. In fact, Democrats are responsible for the lawlessness that has plagued our cities and towns. The rule of law has been under attack since the Obama administration took over in 2009. We are witnessing an era in which contempt is being shown for the law by a federal government that refuses to enforce its own statutes.

In 2020, nearly 600 massively violent outbreaks occurred in cities that were under the control of Democratic mayors who either looked the other way or actually supported the violence. In characteristic fashion, Democrats have refused to accept responsibility. What can they blame it on? White supremacy, naturally. Blaming white supremacy has become the new national sport.

Pusillanimous politicians who virtue signal by blaming the riots on white supremacy are succumbing to pressure from subversive movements like Black Lives Matter and Critical Race Theory. Because they depend on the black vote, Democratic mayors won’t do anything that might offend the African-American community. They seem to feel that confessing their white privilege relieves them of responsibility for stopping the violence.

By blaming the January 6th storming of the U.S. Capitol on white supremacy, Biden and the Democrats hope to achieve three objectives: (1) create a diversion from the 2020 riots; (2) divert attention from mounting evidence that the 2020 election was rigged; and (3) crush conservatives and Trump supporters.

Support for the border wall is blamed on white supremacy. White supremacy is blamed for the rash of assaults on Asians by black men. White supremacy is blamed for climate change. Those who argue against man-made global warming are labeled racists. “Your racism is making the planet warmer,” quipped Tucker Carlson. 

White supremacy constitutes an attempt to relieve African-Americans of responsibility for the epidemic of violence in their communities. The Black Lives Matter platform is based on the false allegation that racist police and a biased justice system explain why a disproportionate number of black men are in U.S. prisons. As substantiated by Heather Mac Donald in The War on Cops, this is an outright lie. Statistics clearly demonstrate that large numbers of black males are in jail because black men commit a disproportionately high percentage of violent crimes.

Black men make up six percent of the U.S. population. In 2015, according to Heather Mac Donald, blacks were charged with 62 percent of all robberies, 57 percent of murders, and 45 percent of assaults in the 75 largest U.S. counties. Blacks in New York City committed 75 percent of all shootings, 70 percent of robberies, and 66 percent of all violent crimes.

“A new generation of black leaders and white enablers want to remove black violence from the table,” Colin Flaherty writes in Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry: The Hoax of Black Victimization and Those Who Enable It, “and instead focus on the Big Lie: the war on black people and how racist white people are waging it. That is the biggest lie of our generation. Because just the opposite is true. Black violence against whites, gays, women, seniors, young people and lots of others is astronomically out of proportion.”

America deserves an apology from the segment of the black population that has contaminated our country with massive crime, violence, chronic anger and hostility, self-victimization, anti-white racism, anti-Semitism, and unwillingness to accept American values of hard work, family, and taking personal responsibility. The systemic racism argument is a leftist canard that is poisoning America. It is used by race-baiters to avoid a truthful discussion of the damage done to our country by antisocial behavior.

Blaming current social problems on white supremacy serves to heighten racial tensions. The preoccupation with race only makes it worse for blacks, whites, and everybody else. America may not be perfect, but, as David Horowitz affirms in Big Agenda, we are “the most tolerant, least racist nation on earth.” I am reminded of what Muhammad Ali said when he returned from a trip to Africa: “Thank God my granddaddy got on that boat.”
