Stanley Johnson, the father of English Prime Minister Boris Johnson, brought an early end to an interview with Piers Morgan after the host asked repeated questions about the PM’s leadership.
Morgan peppered the elder Johnson with questions about “Partygate,” a scandal during which Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party were discovered to have gathered during lockdown for parties and other such get-togethers.
It didn’t take long for Johnson to tire of Morgan’s line of questioning, and when the interview was finally brought to an end, the prime minister’s father made sure to not dawdle in leaving the set.

“Stanley, it’s great to see you,” Morgan said. “As always, effervescent presence.”
“And you are a cheater!” Johnson said, jokingly scolding Morgan. “I’ve got to tell you Piers. You know, you lured me in here!”
“I’m a trophy hunter!” Morgan chuckled. “I lured in the trophy. There’s nothing wrong with defending your son and we got to talk about trophy hunting and your book. The words you’re looking for, Stanley are ‘Thank you, Piers!'”
But for all of the cordiality that may have been fabricated for the cameras, it was obvious that Johnson had enough of the game.
“Yeah,” Johnson huffed, before standing up, shaking Morgan’s hand, and walking off the set.
“Tell Boris to come in soon,” Morgan said to the retreating Johnson, desperate to get the last word. “Cheers Stanley, good to see you.”

It seems like Piers Morgan’s business model is to simply look for ways to offend his guests. That might work, but the fact is that he didn’t need to go beyond Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newson, that Lightfoot woman, the Cuomos, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Gretchen Whitmer, Eric Garcetti and a whole lot more “progressives” to find it in London. Can’t he do better than to just try to embarrass Johnson’s father?
