‘Jesus!’ disgraced Dem ex-senator Al Franken melts down over Steve Scalise remarks on anti-gun hysteria

Democrats and their media mouthpieces are in the midst of a major offensive against the Second Amendment in the aftermath of the deadly shooting at a Texas elementary school in which 19 young children were massacred, with an all hands on deck approach, they even trotted out disgraced former senator and SNL comic Al Franken to aid the gun-grabbing mania.

Franken, who was run out of the U.S. Senate by members of his own party over allegations by several women that he acted in a sexually inappropriate manner toward them, joined the panel on Wednesday’s edition of “CNN Tonight” on the day that Nancy Pelosi’s House passed some of the most draconian gun restrictions in American history as Democrats up the pressure on GOP senators to fall in line on the legislation.

After making it clear that his party views the assault on tens of millions of law-abiding gun owners as a winning issue in the upcoming midterm elections which are critical to Democrats and their one-party chokehold on Congress, Franken melted down over remarks from Republican House minority whip Steve Scalise who pointed out that after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, that there wasn’t a similar hysterical reaction to airplanes.

“Jesus!” Franken exclaimed.

“I’m sorry, but that is so awful, he said. “First of all, we made planes safer to travel on. We know that any time you take a flight. That’s what you have to do with guns. But everyone, you need planes. You don’t need assault weapons. How’s that?”

While Scalise’s likening the legislative terrorism of the Democratic Party to the day which will forever live in infamy may not have been the most artful comparison, there are few who are better qualified to speak out about guns than the Louisiana congressman who was nearly killed when a crazed Bernie Sanders supporter showed up at the field where the Republican congressional baseball team was practicing for their annual charity game in 2017 with mass murder on his mind.

Fortunately for the GOP lawmakers, police were able to neutralize the threat, fatally wounding James T. Hodgkinson who opened fire with an assault-weapon-style rifle but not before he gravely wounded Scalise who nearly died from the bullet that hit him which fractured bones, injured internal organs and caused severe bleeding. Yet the GOP congressman never called for a gun ban despite being an actual victim of a deranged shooter.

As for Franken, he continues to be a media presence despite his scandalous groping, revelations which came at the height of the #MeToo inquisition.

In 2017, images emerged of him allegedly groping a sleeping female on a plane during a USO tour to entertain troops in Afghanistan along with allegations from the woman, radio broadcaster Leeann Tweeden that “fish lips” Franken forcibly kissed her, sticking his “wet and slimy” tongue into her mouth.

Additional women would also come forward to accuse the Minnesota Democrat of making creepy overtures to them, leading to a pack of female lawmakers led by New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to demand his resignation, which he eventually tendered, slinking off to the Land of 10,000 Lakes in shame.

Other than his political career, Franken was a host on the progressive left’s ill-fated Air America radio venture during the George W. Bush era and was a longtime regular on Saturday Night Live, most famously in the recurring role of loopy self-help guru Stuart Smalley, he was also a writer on NBC’s late-night flagship.

  1. Al Franken is a misogynist idiot who somehow got elected to the senate by the slow-witted voters of Minnesota (who also elected a wrestling actor as governor).

In his best days Al Franken was an average comedian who was lucky enough to be a writer and performer on an extreme-left, once-a- comedy show. Outside of that, he is a nothing so why are outlets covering him?

  2. Franken is the sorriest piece of moose droppings alive. He was a 5th rate comic and a 10th rate senator. The dems are scraping the bottom of the barrel with him!!

  3. Why even mention this turd? He is irrelevant to anything that is considered sane.

  4. Just keep using Jesus’s name in vain, Franken. God says “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name”. Exodus 20:7.

  5. Shut up, Stuart, you fat, foolish groping hypocrite freakazoid. There will be no comeback for you. Cause, doggone it, you’re not good enough, you’re not smart enough and people don’t like you.

  6. Franken and Toobin should do a podcast where they try to out-masturbate each other.

They’d get more deviant dim viewers than any other liberal network show, which isn’t saying much.

  7. What a douchebag! I’m a teacher (30 years) and I can tell you that making new rules will not fix the problem of people who refuse to follow them. The compliant will comply and now you have done nothing but exacerbate the problem by disarming them and making them victims! No matter how repugnant the murders of children; and no one in their right mind would see it any other way, we must also look at the statistics.

Since 1970(51 years) there have been 681 school deaths. Last year, there were 71 deaths of teens associated with bicycle accidents. assuming that to be at/near the average, in the same time period(1970-present) that would be 867 deaths. That means that 27% more teens die each year from riding a bicycle than a school shooting.

The point being that there are far more important things to deal with like teen suicide rates which are steadily climbing. Guns, no matter how you feel about them, are very low on the list of things taking our children away from us!

    1. You left out the statistic of children overdosing on fentanyl, and other harmful drugs running rampant over our border which they REFUSE to acknowledge! Thanks for the stats ;)

  8. Franken can’t make it as a comedian, can’t make it as a senator. Oh, but he can be a contributor to CNN. Now, things are coming into focus, aren’t they?

  9. Scalise is correct. We didn’t ban airplanes, we hardened cockpits and increased airport security. We need to do the same for schools instead of sending $50 Billion + to Ukraine.

  10. Defund the police, release violent, career criminals from prison, no cash bail for repeating criminal offenders, defund the police, open the borders to everyone, while the infanticidal Scamdemocrats & marxist leftists continue their fight in taking away our 2nd amendment rights.
