Taxpayers on hook for $6.7M for Biden’s social media effort, to include 70+ staffers

With President Joe Biden’s disapproval rate amidst out-of-control inflation and other issues hovering near 60 percent according to current polling, he hardly seems to be getting much bang for the buck from his high-paid social media team.

Democrat Biden is lavishly spending on what appears to be a bloated contingent of presumably woke Ivy League university graduates, however.

A White House team that creates digital content and manages Biden’s social media accounts reportedly comprises 70-plus staffers who reportedly, on average, each take home nearly six-figure salaries.

Quoting spokesman Andrew Bates, “The President has a well-rounded strategy that combines putting unprecedented resources into digital engagement, speeches that provide many of his most powerful moments, and person-to-person interactions that showcase important qualities like his empathy,” an apologetic CNN reported in a very lengthy article that also conceded the “dysfunction” among Biden staffers.

“Based on salary data, the combined salary for 70 White House staffers would be roughly $6,695,436, not including equipment or other costs. For comparison, the social media budget for large companies with more than 50 employees was generally $100,000 or more in 2021,” the Washington Examiner reported on Wednesday, the latter which even includes overhead and infrastructure.

“The $6.7 million White House figure only accounts for the estimated salaries of the 70 White House staffers working on Biden’s strategy,” the news outlet added. “Biden’s White House staff is considerably larger than that of former President Donald Trump, both in number and in total pay.”

The taxpayer, of course, is picking up the tab for this so-called well-rounded strategy that even CNN seems to imply is not convincing anyone other than die-hard liberals.

According to CNN, moreover, a gap has emerged between Biden’s inner circle and more tech-savvy, younger staffers who are trying to implement “innovative ideas.”

As compared to his “ultra-MAGA” predecessor, Donald Trump, who was personally active on social media and constantly made news (for better or worse) in an unfiltered way before he was banned by Twitter and Facebook, many news consumers find Biden boring, and a considerable cohort of those who voted him have become disillusioned with his policies.

The gaffe-prone POTUS is also heavily dependent on stodgy, prepared remarks unless he goes off script, which key aides obviously frown upon.

Plus, common sense suggests that it’s the unpopular far-left policies, rather than the lackluster messaging, that is tanking the incumbent administration, no matter how many spinners it hires.

In a calculation based on Trump’s last year in office, he reportedly saved the taxpayer about $10 million in staff salaries as compared to the Biden payroll.

“It’s unclear exactly which staffers work on social media or for how long each day, as the White House did not respond to a request for comment from the Washington Examiner by press time,” the publication noted.

According to a Real Clear Politics aggregate of seven national polls, Biden’s disapproval rating currently clocks in at 55 percent.

“The social media staffing revelation comes amid increasing reports of White House infighting and news of departures as the president’s approval ratings continue to sag,” the Examiner observed.

  1. Two things that Biden excels at: Stealing money from others and Spending other peoples money while hoarding his own. My dad would never have asked me for money. Forget 10%.

  2. That is such BS! Wonder what the government would do if you just quit paying income taxes – that would put them in a tail spin

    1. No, they would just print more money in lieu of you upcoming fines. But if everyone put in for an extension it would send a message and be legal.
