‘Good riddance’: Bitter San Fran DA Chesa Boudin blames ‘right-wing billionaires’ for recall ouster

Turnabout, as they say, is fair play.

The radical progressive San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin is blaming his Tuesday recall on sinister “right-wing billionaires.”

Which is amusing, to say the least, since Boudin is one of many DAs who rode into office backed by the sinister left-wing billionaire George Soros. The policies of these left-wing extremists have injected unending chaos and terror into the lives of nearly one-fifth of the country’s population, and it seems that some of these districts — including the hyper-left San Francisco — are rebelling.

Boudin is notoriously the child of two Weather Underground terrorists, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert. Both were convicted of felony murder and sent to prison in 1981 in connection with a heist of a Brinks armored vehicle in which two police officers and a guard were killed, and their son was raised by former Weather Underground leaders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

And while one hesitates to smear the son with the sins of his parents…well, in this case, it seems the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree when it comes to political values. Boudin came into office in 2019 with the generous support of George Soros, and on his watch, the already deteriorating uber-progressive stronghold of San Francisco went downhill faster than a drunken trolley operator on Filbert Street.

Upon being elected, Boudin immediately set about eliminating cash bail for suspects and refused to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement to apprehend criminal illegal aliens. Infamously, he had no interest in prosecuting shoplifters, and the City by the Bay suffered a plague of smash-and-grab crimes as a result. Homicides, burglaries, and car thefts have all increased on Boudin’s watch—or lack thereof—and his poor record of convicting alleged fentanyl dealers has been widely criticized.

“People are angry, they’re frustrated, and I want to be very clear about what happened tonight: The right-wing billionaires outspent us three to one, they exploited an environment in which people are appropriately upset, and they created an electoral dynamic where we were literally shadowboxing,” Boudin explained after being summarily removed from office.

“Voters were not given an opportunity to choose between criminal justice reform and something else. They were given an opportunity to voice their frustrations and their outrage and they took that opportunity.”

They certainly did.

Since only a whopping 6.7% of registered voters in San Francisco are Republican, Boudin’s recall is a classic instance of Democrat-on-Democrat electoral violence. The campaign was led by an organization called “Safer SF Without Boudin,” which bills itself as a “Democratic-led diverse coalition of community leaders, small business owners, activists, and parents.”

Boudin did concede that he’d “made mistakes,” but he chose not to elaborate on what those mistakes might have been. The voters, on the other hand, were well acquainted with each and every one of them. According to San Francisco’s rules, Mayor London Breed will now appoint an interim prosecutor to replace Boudin, who had no opponent.
