TRUTH Social CEO and former GOP congressman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said the arrest of former Trump advisor Peter Navarro is nothing more than a stunt to boost ratings for what will likely be a dog and pony show of the first order Thursday night as the Jan. 6 Committee continues to bang its collective head against the wall of legitimacy.
Speaking with Newsmax TV’s Eric Bolling Monday, Nunes said that Navarro’s arrest for contempt of Congress is purely political while Bolling noted that former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder was once held in contempt of Congress for his refusal to impart information on the selling of weapons to Mexican drug cartels; known famously as the “Fast and Furious” operation. Holder, however, was never arrested.
“This is all part of the buildout for [the Democrats’] latest installment of their hoax theatrics, right? You have to remember… I was there for the first three,” Nunes recalled.
“You had the Russia hoax, the first impeachment hoax, the second impeachment hoax. They’ve all failed, they’ve all bombed. I mean, they’re very willing to say they’re building narratives, and now they’ve even went outside because the first three bombed, I guess they think they’ll hire this guy from ABC,” he said.
Nunes continued, “What they did to Peter Navarro last Friday was all in anticipation to boost ratings for this latest launch of their latest Hollywood film.”
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, for his part, said Monday the arrest of Peter Navarro at D.C.’s Reagan International Airport is the stuff of Third World countries where political opponents are jailed as criminals for dubious or non-existent crimes, as is the case in many of those arrested in connection with the events of Jan 6, 2021.

“Peter Navarro is the picture of a law-abiding American citizen. He’s a 72-year-old retired business school professor. He’s got a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. His most recent job was extremely white collar. He served as the White House trade adviser in the last presidential administration, famous for his tough stance on China,” Carlson explained.
“He’s never been charged with a crime. He’s never trafficked fentanyl, for example, from Mexico. In fact, his hobby is yoga and riding his bicycle. In short, Peter Navarro does not seem like a criminal, much less a danger to this nation,” he continued. “And yet last Friday, federal agents arrested Peter Navarro at Reagan National Airport in Washington. They did not call his lawyer, as is customary in cases like this. They didn’t even come to his house, which, as it happens, is just feet from the FBI building, and they could have walked, but they didn’t.”
He continued at a later point, “If you really wanted to figure out what happened on January 6, Peter Navarro would be the last person you would talk to. Instead, you’d be talking to Ray Epps and various FBI informants. But finding out what happened on January 6 and why is not the point of the exercise. The point of the exercise is preventing Donald Trump from running for president again.”
“So, in the service of that goal, Pelosi and Liz Cheney demanded that Peter Navarro surrender records of his private conversations with his former boss, President Donald Trump, and when he refused to do that, Congress voted to hold him in contempt in a partisan vote and then Merrick Garland’s Justice Department filed criminal charges against Peter Navarro.”
Of the Jan. 6 Committee and the primetime circus set for Thursday, Carlson observed, “So, this is not something we’ve seen before. It’s a huge step toward the politics of the Third World, but the media whose job you thought of was to push back against power are not. They are, in fact, applauding because it turns out no punishment is too severe for those who disagree with the national news media. Watch them gloat.”

Oh PLEASE put me on as a juror in Naverro’s case….. because I’d send a big FUCK- YOU to the January 6th Committee, Pelosi and that big POS Garland !
Durham couldn’t get Sussman with that fake judge and jury so the dems think they are in the clear. So they arrest Navarro in public put him in cuffs and chains not unlike they did Gen. Flynn except Flynn was cuffed and taken from his home. I don’t know abour Navrarro but Flynn would have came in if told to. This is all for show to make something look like something it is not. Neither of these men are flight risk from the country. Optics are inportant and the left is playing the game to the fullest.I can’t wait until this all turns on them. I still think it will. The question is will the Repubs. have the backbone to return the favors.
The dems and their RINO accomplices are making the late Josef St-lin proud, by their attempts to create a S-viet style show trial, that will accomplish their goal of stopping Pres. Trump from being able to again hold office. These people are the opposite of patriots….
