A spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service has debunked a wild claim by a former Trump administration official who staked his claim to fame by penning an anonymous New York Times op-ed trashing his boss, a despicable act of betrayal from within the Trump White House that was cheered by the media.
Miles Taylor who worked as chief of staff for the Department of Homeland security, rocked the political world with his 2018 screed humbly entitled “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration” which he would later parlay into a book contract is back with a vengeance on the eve of the nationally televised spectacle put on by Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked House Select Committee which makes its prime time debut later this week.
In a Saturday tweet coming on the heels of a New York Times report that a top aide to Vice President Mike Pence warned him of impending danger on the day before the so-called “insurrection,” Taylor claimed that he used to oversee the Secret Service and had knowledge of a plot against the former veep.
“I used to oversee the Secret Service. The fact that the Vice President’s Office was worried about danger — from President Trump turning against VP Pence — is both historically unprecedented & terrifying,” Taylor wrote.

Taylor’s tweet caught the eye of the agency with Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi rejecting Taylor’s assertion.
“Miles, the Secret Service had no knowledge of that conversation according to people with first hand knowledge. At the time, there was never any physical threat of any kind communicated about the Vice President,” he wrote.

Undeterred, Taylor responded “Thank you, Anthony. Will amplify — will be interesting to see what VP Pence’s Office says and the NYT says about its reporting.”

In his reply to the top Secret Service spox, Taylor boosted the sensationalist reporting by the paper that published his anonymous anti-Trump column and can be counted on to churn out all the propaganda that’s fit to print in order to support the Democratic party’s nationally televised show trial, a high-stakes gambit that comes at a time when Americans have more pressing concerns including record high gas prices, food shortages and concerns that the White House along with the Dem-controlled Congress are indifferent to their suffering.
The formerly anonymous “senior administration official” was lit up like a Christmas tree by Twitter users over his obviously bogus claim.
Hey Mr Anonymous, here's a list of the past six directors of the United States Secret Service and your name isn't on it. 🤡 https://t.co/aFPG9Kt2pf pic.twitter.com/aLsKOyDufB

The grown-ups who actually oversaw the Secret Service are probably dying at this. https://t.co/mVslR5DdSs

You were a political appointee you didn’t “oversee” anything — please do SOMETHING in your life that doesn’t require resume inflation Miles.

Well that was probably inevitable – one does not question the overseer of the United States Secret Service without expecting repercussions. pic.twitter.com/h3TdDxPjmd

You were a coffee bitch
You oversaw literally no portion of the Secret Service https://t.co/brM0Nb5igG

So what you're saying is…writing an anonymous op-ed pretending that you were protecting the country from Trump didn't work 🙄 https://t.co/2WbtNaohIQ

first they had to deal with him screwing up the lunch order, then they have to deal with him thinking he was in charge because they gave him one of those little kiddie badges that says jr agent

The Pelosi committee hearings are a siren call for all snakes to slither out from under their rocks and many others will be joining Miles “Anonymous” Taylor.
