1. Just think of what would happen if a “Conservative,” of any party, were to use “Alah’s” name in vain. The radical Muslims (like Rep. Omar) would demand that they be put off social media and some would even advocate civil disobedience (some people might say riotous behavior) as a method of protesting such a blasphemous use of Alah’s name. I would be upset if one made such statements about Alah and I am not even a Muslim. Why should Omar be given a pass when others would be chastised severally for such religious disregard. (Hope I don’t get put off this site for this comment)

   Still, far and above any other reason to own an AR-15 platform rifle, more so even than self-defense, is the apparent fear it generates in the government, obviously serving as a threat, a deterrent to those who seek to impose a dystopian, tyrannical dictatorship, which it and any gun is, the very purpose of the 2nd Amendment!

Most pistols and many rifles are semiautomatic, which simply means that you don’t have to cock it or manually chamber a new round after every shot. The uninitiated seen to always confuse “semiautomatic” (one round per trigger pull) with fully “automatic” (one trigger pull can release many rounds).
