$40B Ukraine bill reportedly full of pork, includes $500 million for electric vehicle development

President Joe Biden has the pedal pressed to the metal and it’s full speed ahead as his administration continues its intense push to radically transform America into a new green utopia in which electric cars will be the only vehicles on the road, including half a billion dollars for battery materials tucked inside of the controversial $40 billion Ukraine aid package.

The $500 million that’s included in the massive foreign giveaway, at a time when conditions on the domestic front are deteriorating by the day, is to “expand funds available under the Defense Production Act to obtain critical battery minerals like nickel, cobalt, lithium and graphite,” according to Bloomberg.

“That adds to the $750 million fund mining companies could access when the president invoked the Defense Production Act in March. The Ukraine bill also lifted the cap on the size of grants and expanded eligible projects to include the UK and Australia, as well as the US and Canada,” Bloomberg reported.

The additional money is on top of the $7 billion already included in the “infrastructure” bill that passed last year, a legislative package that was chock full of Green New Deal funding as well as social engineering projects as the dramatic overhaul of the nation into a land where fossil fuels will be discarded in favor of sustainable energy sources that while notoriously unreliable, are a major windfall to special interests, especially Democrat donors.

Biden, who falsely presented himself as a moderate in order to appeal to swing voters has governed as the most extreme president in U.S. history, declaring war on the domestic fossil fuel industry from day one when he canceled the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office, policies that have far more to do with the crushing burden of record prices at the pump than Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s invasion of his neighbor.

With frustration building among everyone except the green energy zealots who hold high places in his administration, the nation’s 46th president inadvertently let the cat out of the bag last month that the record-high gas prices are just a part of the “incredible transition” that will continue to bring pain and suffering to ordinary Americans.

“When it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said at a press conference during his trip to Japan to meet with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Bloomberg reports that “Biden’s goal is for half of US passenger car and light-truck sales to be zero-emission by 2030. Current EV manufacturing will have to grow 15 times to do that, according to a Defense Department presentation obtained by Bloomberg.”

Mark Jensen, chief executive officer of Indiana-based company American Resources, a company that has developed a cleaner and safer recycling process for recycled battery material than China, thinks “that’s probably not realistic, but he’s happy to try — it’ll be good for business,” according to Bloomberg.

As the president continues to make painfully clear, there will be little that his administration is going to do to mitigate gas prices which have now hit $8 a gallon in parts of California. And cheap transportation which has long been taken for granted by Americans is an impediment to the realization of the great green dream that wasn’t a part of Biden’s sales pitch to his voters who are paying dearly for their willful ignorance at gas stations and grocery stores along with everyone else.

  1. Who would have thought that the Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists would try to take advantage of an Aid Bill to fill their own pockets???

  2. All part of the WEF’s “Great Reset” agenda for a neofuedal future. A global Enron economy of manufactured shortages and higher prices (thus profits) for less supply, charge you more for less.

  3. The US has NO money, but is spending $40 BILLION American taxpayer dollars to prop up one of the most corrupt regimes on the planet, to say nothing of the pork in the bill. If Gestapo Joe Biden wants 50% electric cars by 2030, he needs to be building over 350 nuclear power plants by then to power the electric cars. The problem with his ” incredible transition” is there is nothing to transition TO, and there won’t be for about 50 more years. The “eagle killer” wind turbines are projected to be producing 30,000 megawatts of power by 2030. The only problem is the US needs 350,000 megawatts to replace 50% of the gasoline. At the present rate of building wind farms, it will take 184 years to build enough eagle killers to replace gasoline completely . If the planners had wanted enough eagle killers in place by 2030 to replace gasoline, building them would have had to have started in 1844, 20 years before the American Civil War. Let’s go Brandon. 4. We should not be sending anything to the Ukraine. What’s occuring there can be likened to Hitler fighting with Mussolini. Two despots.

  5. Anyone really believes 2500 pages only covered military weapons needs their head examined.

  6. I detest Biden, but I read the Bloomberg article, and I also read the text of the passed bill. The bill says, “$500,000,000 is hereby appropriated for an additional amount for the Department of Defense and made available for transfer to “Missile Procurement, Army”, “Procurement of Ammunition, Navy and Marine Corps”, “Weapons Procurement, Navy”, “Missile Procurement, Air Force”, and “Procurement of Ammunition, Air Force”, only for the procurement of critical munitions to increase stocks of the Department of Defense.”

Maybe someone can explain where the bill gives money to develop electric vehicles, because I don’t see it. Is the military procuring the lithium, etc. for missile systems and ammunition?

    1. I’m more concerned about the 50+ billion sent to Ukraine. Then we send them rockets. The taxpayer money that was sent is a money laundering sceme. A sizeable portion will find it’s way into the pockets of our crooked politicians.

  7. Where do the idiots (Democrats) in charge think electricity comes from? Just read an article about the probability of rolling blackouts next summer because there is not enough generating capacity.

  8. This is why we need the One Subject At A Time Act. Actually we’ve needed it since 1776.

    1. “You can read the bill after you vote on it.” 21st century “democracy” in practice.

    1. RINOs are just as bad. The only people that should be re-elected are those that voted against the $40B bill. Everyone else is looking out for their own interests which, obviously, have nothing to do with the good of the country or their constituents.

        • Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri
        • Sen. Mike Lee of Utah
        • Sen. Mike Braun of Indiana
        • Sen. Mike Crapo of Idaho
        • Sen. Bill Hagerty of Tennessee
        • Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee
        • Sen. John Boozman of Arkansas
        • Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas
        • Sen. Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming
        • Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky
        • Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama

All of these voted against the $40B Ukrainian PORK bill.

  9. This country is BROKE! We don’t HAVE any money to spend on ANYTHING!
    F J B !

  10. So we have a $40 billion Ukraine aid package. And embedded in the bill is $500 million for battery materials. How does this help Ukraine? The scumbag politicians (both sides of the isle) have no conscience or values. This is disgusting.

  11. This POTUS is a great example of why we need to get back to constitutional Federalist law & order instead of ruling by the fiat of “executive orders”. I didn’t like Trump’s frequent use of the escape party trick either. Law is law and there are very good reasons why we have a congress, not a dictator. Whoever our next POTUS is, he needs to put all executive oreder before congress, throw out those that aren’t approved and throw out all that aren’t vetted & approved by Congressional vote.

  12. These No Good F**KING democrats need to be HUNG. FJB and the CURRUPT Country Destroying democrats.

  13. This bill defines how Congress views compromise: doling out enough pork to corrupt reps and senators to get them to sign off on any legislation, no matter how useless or harmful.

  14. So who allowed this to happen republicans????????? And you voted for this garbage. I swear every politician in Washington needs to be voted out and start fresh with real people, not these special interest clowns we have . As for Biden he’s just doing what his handlers tell him. Soros out to destroy America for his benefit. Obama helping.

  15. What if the government that raised gas prices to squeeze out real cars, raises the cost of electricity next?
Are you too stupid to think about that?

    1. All part of the “Great Reset” plan. We don’t have the grid sufficient for our current needs, imagine what will happen with this green push.

    1. Tesla? Ford? The 535 members of Congress? They surely will benefit from this largess. Paid of course by you and me (as always since the gubment contributes NOTHING to society or the economy}. They are the ultimate definition of blood suckers (and maybe other appendages).

  16. Lie cheat and steal while the Republicans campaign and raise money.
This country needs to be blown apart and start over . All in it government are worthless mother fkrs.

  17. UKRAIN equals a study on EV’s. What else has been stuffed in the bill??????? You know the communist dems will be stuffing their pockets full.

  18. Always a scheme. Why can’t a bill for 1 thing be left alone? Always sneaky and unapproved by the tax payers. Shady as usual.

    1. Nancy and the rest would not be millionaires if they didn’t do it this way. There is no government watchdog except us and they want our guns!!

  19. Is anyone at all surprised? This corrupt installed administration has no morals, logic or leadership. #FJB

    1. Same for the 80M+ freebee seekers that voted for him and the other dim’s in 2020.
