The deterioration of New York City is ongoing and the Democrat-controlled government is hellbent on speeding the decline of what was once one of America’s greatest cities with a new program reaching out to junkies with instructions on how to “safely” ingest fentanyl, the deadly drug that has been killing young Americans in great numbers.
The Big Apple’s Health Department has kicked off a “Let’s Talk Fentanyl” ad campaign assuring addicts that they shouldn’t be ashamed for using the drug and provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to get off on one of the most dangerous substances on the planet.
New Yorkers have noticed an increasing presence of propagandistic posters that have popped up on trains and buses with slogans such as “Don’t be ashamed you are using, be empowered that you are using safely,” featuring a woman called “Florence” from Manhattan who advises fentanyl users of how to prevent overdosing on a drug that according to one study, was the top cause of death for Americans from the age of 18 to 45 years old in 2020.
Among the helpful tips are “avoid using alone and take turns,” “avoid mixing drugs” and “test your drugs using fentanyl test strips.”

In another ad, “Juan from East Harlem” says that “Fentanyl test strips can save your life” while not bothering to mention that not doing drugs at all is the most surefire ticket to longevity.

“Fentanyl is not only in opioids, it’s in cocaine and pills too,” says another of the ads featuring “Althea” from the Bronx along with the same instructions on how to safely get high on drugs.

Republican City Council member Joe Borelli of Staten Island took to Twitter where he blasted what he called a “twisted decision,” writing that “This is the opposite of “harm reduction” This normalizes injecting deadly life-changing drugs.”
No, @nycHealthy, heroin addiction is not empowering
This is the opposite of “harm reduction.” This normalizes injecting deadly life-changing drugs

“Start w small doses” 👀

Borelli also wondered whether the city’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority approved of the posters promoting drug usage.
Does the @MTA support encouraging riders to “take turns” using heroin?
I mean it literally says that. Will they remove this?

“It’s incredible that our commissioner thinks that putting useless cloth masks on toddlers is mitigating a real danger, but when it comes to heroin it’s all ‘Take turns you guys’ and ‘Use safely, smartly.’ It’s just bizarre,” he told the New York Post. “He seems like an ass.”
On Friday, Borelli wrote to the MTA asking the agency to take down the ads, “A DOH spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment about Borelli’s remarks,” according to the New York Post.
In Florida, a state that has become a top destination for refugees fleeing New York City, the state Health Department couldn’t resist jabbing its northern counterpart.
This ain’t it, @nycHealthy.

Twitter users also reacted to the NYC Health Department’s informational outreach program.
They should add information on how to get your free Biden crackpipe to those posters

Priorities really changed in this city. What happened to: “Don’t Do Drugs”?

You should be proud to be a junkie! Congratulations!🎉

“The campaign, which began in December in a more limited way, was relaunched on May 9, with a broader distribution, according to the DOH, which did not respond to questions about its cost,” according to the New York Post.
