Kellyanne Conway suspects Trump’s inner circle turned him against her, starts naming names

As former President Donald Trump was trashing Kellyanne Conway’s new memoir on Truth Social, Conway was reacting to his statement in real-time during a podcast interview — and, needless to say, the former senior counselor to the MAGA King was not amused.

As previously reported, Conway, who served as Trump’s campaign manager in 2016, recounted in her book, “Here’s the Deal,” how she flat-out told him that he had simply lost the 2020 election.

“I may have been the first person Donald Trump trusted in his inner circle who told him that he had come up short this time,” she wrote. “It wasn’t the result I wanted. It wasn’t the result some 74 million Americans — by far the largest number of people ever to vote for an incumbent president — wanted.”

It didn’t take long for Trump to essentially call the exchange “Fake News.”

“Kellyanne Conway never told me that she thought we lost the election,” Trump posted on his social media platform. “If she had I wouldn’t have dealt with her any longer — she would have been wrong — could go back to her crazy husband.”

Trump then doubled down on his belief that the election was rigged.

“Writing in books can make people say some very strange things,” he continued. “I wonder why? Got 12 million more votes than we did the first time, the most votes, by far, of any sitting President. The election was RIGGED. They used Covid to cheat and steal, and the evidence is massive and indisputable.”

No sooner did President Trump hit “send” than Kellyanne Conway started punching back.

Conway was recording an episode of “The Interview” podcast with Mediaite’s Aidan McLaughlin when Trump’s released his statement, and McLaughlin was only too happy to read it to her.

It wasn’t the statement Conway was expecting to hear.

“I was given a statement last night that he was going to put out — a beautiful statement about the book and our relationship and how hard we had worked together,” Conway said. “So somebody worked overtime between last evening and this morning to have him put that statement out.”

According to Conway, Trump was probably receiving negative headlines regarding her book from people within his own circle.

“I think that people have their own interests at hand, including the same people who say privately that Donald Trump lost,” she explained. “And I would love to see his 2020 campaign team out there. I would love to hear from Brad Parscale and Jared Kushner and Tony Fabrizio, John McLaughlin, a whole bunch of them, Bill Stepien.”

“I’d like them to go on the record,” she said. “I never see them anywhere talking about the 2020 election. So that’s very fascinating. Some of them even say they’re out of politics now. But I saw a beautiful statement that was going to come out some time between last night and this morning, that did not, about the book.”

While Conway said events on January 6 at the Capitol “made me sick,” she would still run a Trump 2024 campaign “if he would have me.”

As for Trump’s continued belief that the 2020 election was stolen for him, Conway again blamed his advisors.

“They feast on this,” she said. “They feast on this continuously with no deliverable. Because it allows them to stay in his orbit, and I find that to be highly regrettable.”

Trump, Conway admitted, is “not a child” and is capable of making his own decisions, but much of the blame for how his presidency ended, she insists, should fall on his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.

“It’s highly regrettable that Mark Meadows was the chief of staff for those last eight months in 2020, because he wasn’t up to the task,” she said. “The man did not match the moment or the mission.”

“Beginning with the chief of staff, they let sycophant after supplicant after showman in front of the Resolute Desk shopping their wares,” Conway continued. “But the president was told by many people he trusted, and he knew to be honest, that he won the election and they were going to do something to keep him behind that Resolute Desk and have his second term.”

“I know as a fact he genuinely believed that,” she said, “and he based that genuine belief on what he was being told.”

  1. At this point there is little doubt that the 2020 election was a fraud. See “2000 Mules” for the irrefutable truth. And that documentary doesn’t even address the fact that dozens of Governors changed their election procedures without the constitutionally required consent of their legislators. Or that all the Mainstream media and Social media colluded to suppress vital information that would have changed the outcome of the election (the Hunter Biden story). Or that the same people in collusion with Hillary Clinton and the entire Democratic Party pushed a known and proven lie for four years to impeach and undermine a duly elected President. As William Barr said, “They are the real Seditionists”. Or that drop box and absentee ballot fraud is still being investigated in Wisconsin, in Arizona, in Michigan. The evidence is overwhelming.

I love Trump and believe he accomplished more than another other President in recent history; especially considering the constant lies and treasonous opposition he faced.
However, that said, perhaps Trumps biggest flaw is that he feels the need to aggressively respond to every perceived sleight, no matter how small, and seemingly lacks the discipline to “pick his battles” and ignore the trivial stuff that is of no import. KellyAnn Conway was one of his most ardent, steadfast, continuous supporters for his entire term and beyond. To narcissistically jump to contradict her (regardless of who’s right} is a serious flaw. That’s why I think we need to move to DeSantis for 2024. He’s every bit the fighter that Trump is but a more concise and articulate speaker. He doesn’t back down but presents conservative positions in a simple but clear way that is easy to understand and hard to debate. He doesn’t wander off track or off point as Trump has the propensity to do. So DeSantis in 2024 and maybe he can use Trump as his primary economic advisor.

  2. I’m making over $17k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true.

  3. Kellyanne Conway, I am one upon you. When all of the hooplas started about all those mail-in ballots I made a statement. President Trump “will not” be re-elected!! It was so obvious the handwriting was on the wall. That election was my worst ever. I left the polls knowing my vote did not count.

The hate for President Trump was loud and unhealthy and I knew everything would be done to defeat him. Hate contains four letters but it is one of the most destructive in the English language. It was on full display for President Trump’s four years.

In 2020 we had a candidate that spent his time in the basement in DE, did very little travel answered very few questions with substance yet he was electable? However, he was duly elected, and don’t you DARE say the word fraud. As though the media can control one’s thoughts. That so angers me. Trump should have left office quietly and continued to work for his party. He has yet to learn you do not respond to every criticism. You are out there and it comes with the territory. Plus it is beneath you and the office of the President.

For all the never Trumpers please do not respond. This has nothing to do with Trump but our election integrity and the electoral system. Yet, the media will continue to cover up, put Biden on display, and embarrass himself and our country not to mention the mess we are in from every angle economy, energy, supply chain, food, and the list goes on. As a voter, I am not happy with the state of our country now. It would not be different if Trump was in and we had the same situation.

  5. A number of people from the right and the left are working hard to maximize the tension btw Trump and the rest of the “world”!
Lots of false news and fabrications are to be expected 24 x 7 x 52.
They were and may still be a great team.

  6. I WISH I COULD, BLOCK YOU YOU UN AMERICAN JERK!!!! WHY DON;T YOU GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS COPUNTRY WHEN TRUMP WINS YOU JACKASS!!!

  7. Drunken stupors all sound the same. This is an amused victim. However, she is not rational. She needs to walk and find her sanity.

  8. It was rigged! There is proof and a lot of it is already exposed and public. Kelly Anne was more concerned with her career than she was with the truth. She didn’t want to fight the system. She caved! Besides that it has allowed her to get a book deal, and I have no doubt she was told that she COULD NOT say certain things in Trump’s defense, even though she knew them to be true. She accepted and she is no longer a Conservative in good standing. She has become a RINO! Her husband must be deliriously happy about now! I find that politicians and those who deal with them have few moral values they are willing to stand by. Money and influence are their only goal always. Ethics be damned!

    1. Maybe she did that to save her marriage. I dunno why, I’ve seen what her husband looks like, and he’s a gorilla!!

  9. This seems strange to me since they were so close together. One thing Trump does have to pay attention to is that some elements of his inner circle could be paid off or left leaning advocates that, after gaining his confidence, could try to sabotage his reelection possibilities. Seems far fetched but seeing how far the left has already gone, its def. a possibility and probability.

  11. What Trump said about Kellyanne Conway is right. Kellyanne Conway never told Trump he lost. Trump understands well why the 2020 election was stolen. Had Kellyanne said such a thing to Trump, Kellyanne’s relationship would have ended then. It would have defined Kellyanne as a fool in Trump’s mind.

What all should understand is that Kellyanne Conway is now a tool of Establishment Republicans who are desperate to get rid of Trump and who want the talk about the f2020 election fraud to go away. So, she lied about having told Trump he lost. It is not a matter of Meadows turning Trump against Kellyanne. Meadows was a great and trustworthy Chief of Staff. It is a matter of what Kellyanne is saying that marks her as an Establishment Republican trying to undermine Trump. It is a con game on her part.

  12. I suspect that her husband had more to do with any friction here than is being admitted.

  13. Gas sold for $1.50 a gallon and life was good with Trump for POTUS. You must have had your head up your a$$ for 4 years.

  14. the left is counting on all of us giving up like you have. BUT “watch “2000 mules” movie and you can see how the election was stolen while it was happening.” If Trump runs again I’ll vote for him. But I won’t vote for a democrate ever again.

    1. I don’t believe for a second that PhillyBoy voted for PDJT. I will vote again for PDJT if he runs. No one else is worthy my vote.

  15. watch “2000 mules” movie and you can see how the election was stolen while it was happening.

  16. For the good of the party….Trump needs to stop with burning all his bridges. He won’t. Too divisive to be president again

  17. Yep. I believe her. Although it must suck to be Trump and not know who to trust, he’s got to stop listening to his ‘inner circle ‘. It could be the end of Trump. NOT MAGA! But the end of another Trump presidency..

    1. See my post as to why you should not believe Kellannne Conway. She is obviously lying.

      1. My GOD! What is wrong with you people?? Is EVERYONE who (DIDN’T) say anything bad about Trump STILL on your ‘They’re dead to me’ list? Synchophants isn’t a good thing. No matter what side they’re on…

    2. Trump needs to keep a small group of tried and true close to him, and keep his strategy close. There will be many who will throw themselves in front of him (as after his win in 2016) but few he can really trust. Most would sell him out in a New York minute. Politicians and their ground feeders are often a pretty low class. We have certainly seen proof of that.

      1. Yea. LoL 🤣 One of his ‘closest’ advisors is Shamitty. If you looked up “Yes Men” in the dictionary you wouldn’t see his picture. However, if you looked up “Stupid Yes Man” THEN you’d find Shamitty’s pic!
Trump is listening to stupid ‘yes men’. He should be listening to SMART ones.

  18. I will offer this opinion.

If Trump had drafted a positive release about her book it would mean he had not read it and whatever excerpts provided did not include her commentary about the election loss.

So she either lied to Trump about the content or she lied about the positive message. There is no way he would endorse a book that trashed his ideas about the election fraud.

      1. New nose job,,,,does not help her at all….liar, she and her husband are equals now!!! equally evil and bad..they should now register for the the Demonrats party.

        1. She will have to hope for RINO business, because she is no longer trustworthy for an actual Conservative candidate. The last thing they need is someone they cannot trust.

        1. She has done what half of the Republican’s in Congress have, turned RINO! “Money before honor”!

    1. You are right on the money! He trusted her and because he did he was purposely misled!
