Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani lost his cool on Sunday afternoon when he shouted down a leftist heckler at the Celebrate Israel parade, days after he provided testimony to Nancy Pelosi’s sham “insurrection” committee, and the ugly exchange was caught on video.
The event which is billed as “the world’s largest expression of solidarity with the Jewish state” took place for the first time since the COVID outbreak that hit the city hard, along with the lockdowns and the harshest restrictions on freedom east of California, and revelers turned out in great numbers to express their support for Israel.
Giuliani’s strong leadership at City Hall had included his rising to the occasion in the aftermath of the deadliest terrorist attacks to ever occur on domestic soil on 9/11, earning him the nickname of “America’s Mayor” as well as being honored as Time Magazine’s 2001 Person of the Year, but he wasn’t warmly welcomed on Sunday when he was verbally berated on the streets of a city where he was once a hero.
“I reduced crime, you jackass,” Rudy shouted above the din. “You are a brainwashed a**hole, and you’re probably as demented as Biden,” in a confrontation with a member of the crowd that appeared to involve something about crime which was under control during his time as mayor but has exploded under Democrat rule to the point where citizens live in fear of their safety whenever they venture out in public.
Reporter Jacob Kornbluh of The Forward captured the shouting match on video and posted it to Twitter where it has drawn much attention, much of it negative toward Giuliani.

Giuliani was referring to current NYC Mayor Eric Adams, a former police officer who ran on promises of cracking down on crime which has continued to spiral during his brief tenure in office.
Mayor Adams who was also marching in Sunday’s parade, expressed his solidarity with Israel, a key constituency for a man with lofty political ambitions.

Adams reportedly has his eye on the White House in 2024 despite only six months on the job and his inability to put a chokehold on crime as promised.

“Eric has told me repeatedly that he thinks that he has a platform to run for national office, for president in 2024. He has said that repeatedly. He thinks New York is a national platform. He thinks the national party has gotten too far to the left and he thinks he has a platform to win,” the New York Post reported, citing a person close to Adams.
Giuliani has been extremely critical of Adams who he said “hasn’t done a damn thing,” in a recent interview with the New York Post, “So far, he’s the biggest failure of a new mayor in America. He’s the worst failure of any new first-year mayor in New York City in my lifetime.”
“I didn’t go to a Met gala until I got the city under control,” said Rudy. “People should stop inviting him to events. Adams should be at City Hall and Gracie Mansion implementing plans that should have been implemented months ago.”
