The Walt Disney corporation this week has added some new merch to its array of signature branded products: LGBTQ+ wearables and accessories for kids.

“The clothing line features the rainbow Pride flag printed on T-shirts, baby clothes, bracelets, sweaters, socks, backpacks and other items,” Fox Business reported.

“Several products incorporate the flag’s colors with fictional Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse. Pride-themed Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar selections are also available. The items are sold at Disney retail shops, the ‘shopDisney’ online store and all of Disney’s theme parks,” the news outlet explained.

Disney has made similar children’s apparel for about four years, “but the clothing line was renamed this year from the ‘Rainbow Disney Collection’ to the ‘Disney Pride Collection,'” Fox Business added.

As part of a lengthy statement, the multinational entertainment conglomerate explained that “The Disney Pride Collection was created by LGBTQIA+ employees and allies at The Walt Disney Company and is a reflection of their incredible contributions and place at the heart of the company. We stand in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ community everywhere.”

“The Walt Disney Company will be donating all of our profits from the Disney Pride Collection sales now through June 30, 2022 to organizations that support LGBTQIA+ youth and families,” the announcement added.

Disney is an organization that has condemned Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, the provisions for which have been widely distorted in the media.

Under pressure from its progressive employees, the very woke company that was formerly regarded by many as family-friendly and non-political wants the law repealed or reversed in court.

The bill, which Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law in late March 2022, among other things bans sexual orientation and gender identity classroom content in grades K-3.

To level the playing field with all other state businesses, the Florida legislature, under DeSantis’ leadership, recently passed a law that revoked the special self-governing, self-taxing status of Orlando-based Disney World, effective June 1, 2023.

“Disney World’s previously held special status, which began in 1967, let the megaresort essentially function as its own municipal government. Although the theme park is sandwiched between two counties, it operated as a special zone — known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District….Through that status, the company saved millions of dollars annually in fees and taxes, according to experts,” The New York Times has explained.

DeSantis has said that he wants the state, rather than the neighboring counties, to take control of the enclave.

Traditionally, the left was skeptical, if not hostile, to corporate America. Now, the left is corporate America.

Some Twitter users are implying that Disney is metaphorically committing a wardrobe malfunction. Here is just a sample of the response (*warning for language):

  1. To any parent tone-deaf enough to expose your children to Disney…I’m putting you on notice. If I see a rainbow mouse sticker on your car, you won’t believe the designs I’ll add with my key! Wear my mark!
You are to be shunned as responsible parents…and Americans!

  2. How much money do they have to lose before they get the message?? The only Disney stuff I have is the old movies from years ago. I’m old and remember when “queer” meant you were weird and “gay” was happy.

  3. Even sadder is that there are parents who will buy the clothing. If no one buys it, it will soon disappear from their market.

  4. Hay Disney, it would be very smart to distance Disney from all political and lgbt areas unless you really want to tank the stock completely.

  5. Let’s hope Disney losses their ass with this merchandise. I have cancelled ESPN+ and would rather watch reruns, than the wokest name in sports. Sadly, I don’t think their management is smart enough to jump off the “woke train” and get back to entertainment.

  6. A business should always pander to the largest purchaser base. LGBTQ is a very small percentage. Good luck with the profit and loss this year.

    1. Problem is there are many LGBTQ sympathizers who will purchase it. Makes them feel good that they are all-inclusive.

  7. I tore up our 4 disneyland tickets so nobody dumpster diving could use them either.
