Hateful harpies on ‘The View’ dump on Melania Trump over Vogue, Surprise hater defends her

The crew at “The View” took numerous cheap shots at Melania Trump again on Tuesday but this time, her former press secretary Stephanie Grisham tried to defend her from the nastiness of the regulars.

With Grisham onboard as a special guest, it was almost certain that the hateful harpies would try to bait her into dumping on her former boss who was mocked by the co-hosts for remarks that she made during a recent interview with Fox News, criticizing Vogue magazine for its leftist bias over not having her on the cover.

Grisham, who served as White House communications director as well as Melania Trump’s chief of staff and press secretary, has been a recurring guest on “The View” where she has repeatedly bashed former President Donald Trump and the first lady and has hawked her tell-all book about her time at the Trump White House, “where everything was like a clown car on fire.”

Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the cheap shots at Mrs. Trump by playing the clip to jeers from the show’s studio audience before her fellow host, Joy Behar made the snide remark that “she turned the beautiful rose garden into a cemetery” as the crowd hooted its approval.

When asked about the “double standard” at Vogue which has featured Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Jill Biden on the cover but never her, Melania Trump told Fox News’  Pete Hegseth, “They’re biased, and they have likes and dislikes and it’s so obvious and I think American people and everyone see it, it was their decision and I have much more important things to do, I did in the White House, than being on the cover of Vogue.”

The ladies at the table then turned to Grisham for her opinion as to whether the then-FLOTUS was too “busy” in the White House to be bothered with Vogue. Surprisingly, rather than repeat her previous mockery of Trump, Grisham came to her defense.

“You know what, she was first and foremost a mother, and she was a very good mother and she prioritized her son first and I will say that, and her initiatives were important to her,” Grisham said.

“What are the initiatives?” Behar snottily asked.

Grisham replied, “Online safety, opioids, and um, just helping children with emotional intelligence, et cetera,”

Naturally, the answer wasn’t good enough for the co-hosts who picked away at her until Behar took a nasty shot, saying, “We’ve seen a lot of photographs online, though,” referring to sexy photo shoots during Trump’s modeling career.

With the crowd laughing after Behar’s smutty remark, Grisham again attempted to defend Trump.

“Again, I know it’s easy to take potshots at her, and trust me, I would like to as well, but I think for this topic, there was bias there,” she said. “But I will also say when Vogue came to us and asked if she would do a shoot, she would only do a shoot if she could be on the cover.”

But it was open season on Melania as Goldberg, Behar and Sunny Hostin all piled on.

While Grisham defended the former first lady on Tuesday, she has previously succumbed to the temptation to get in her own digs as she did during a previous appearance when the xenophobic panel took great delight in mocking Mrs. Trump’s accent despite the fact that she is fluent in multiple languages.

Grisham was also confronted by Hostin over why she and “conservative” Ana Navarro are still Republicans despite her willingness to suck up to the regulars by throwing former President Donald J. Trump under the bus, agreeing that he took advantage of his supporters before being shredded.

Grisham made unflattering claims about Melania Trump in her book “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House,” which was published last year, another in a series of tell-all “insider accounts” from former Trump administration officials seeking to cash in on their experience.

Twitter took up for Mrs. Trump while giving a resounding thumbs down to a group that one user called “the ugliest women on television” while others added that the ladies on “The View” are classless, tacky, envious and fat cows among numerous other descriptive terms.

Fox News points out that “Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is a major Democratic Party supporter and bundler, and the magazine’s content leans heavily to the left. Vice President Kamala Harris was featured on the cover before she even took office in 2021, and Democratic First Ladies Jill Biden, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton were all featured on the cover, in Obama’s case three times.”
