Lawrence O’Donnell rips ‘billionaire puppeteer’ Rupert Murdoch for pulling Tucker’s strings in wild tirade

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell blamed Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch for the mass shooting Saturday in Buffalo, New York.

On “The Last Word” Monday, the host asserted that only once the billionaire puts his foot down will Fox News and Tucker Carlson, in particular, cease the propagation of the so-called replacement theory the accused killer is said to have mentioned in his 180-page manifesto; a screed that has been removed by Google, ostensibly because the left-wing doesn’t like all that it contains.

Removing it from the public eye enables the mainstream media to craft the narrative as they see fit, ensuring the focus remains on everyone and everything except the individual who actually committed the murderous atrocities.

A clip was shown of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) going through the tiresome motions of blaming Fox News and Tucker Carlson for the murders in Buffalo. The senator alleged that Carlson “has spewed rhetoric that echoes replacement theory at least 400 times on his show since 2016.”

How he and his staffers conducted that study and arrived at that number is curious, at best.

The theory as it’s being currently floated contends that the Biden administration is intentionally trying “to change the racial mix of the country” through immigration.

In political terms, this policy is called ‘The Great Replacement,’ the replacement of legacy Americans with more obedient people from far-away countries,” Carlson previously explained regarding illegal immigration. “They [Democrats] brag about it all the time, but if you dare to say it’s happening they will scream at you with maximum hysteria.”

O’Donnell cited an article in the leftist rag The Boston Globe which predictably also blames Fox News for the massacre.

Their headline reads: “With the Buffalo massacre, Fox News has blood on its hands – again.”

The hack job attempts to draw correlations between mass shootings (only those carried out by white people) and Tucker Carlson, and the author makes a number of asinine claims that deserve no reprint here.

O’Donnell remarked, “Every minute spent talking about the TV hosts on Fox is a minute that hides the true villain of the [Boston Globe piece]. Rupert Murdoch is the billionaire puppeteer. In 1995, when Robert Murdoch was planning to create a cable news channel he had never heard of any of the people who are now his most prominent hosts.”

“But Rupert Murdoch knew what he wanted Fox to do from day one, and Fox has always done and said exactly what Murdoch wants,” he said.

O’Donnell then finished up with some hyperbole that might easily be considered slander.

“Fox News doesn’t have hands, but Rupert Murdoch does. White supremacist mass murderers in this country can take encouragement from Fox, [who want to] among other things, stop immigration to this country, as does Fox. A company owned and operated by an immigrant who has done more damage to this country in the 21st Century than any immigrant in the world has done to any other country in the 21st Century,” he claimed.

It’s unknown if MSNBC has the same kind of cash reserves CNN needed in order to settle the defamation suit brought upon them by lawyers for Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann, but maybe Murdoch should find out if they do.
