Kathy Barnette responds to vicious Jan 6 accusations: ‘We had a wonderful time’

GOP Pennsylvania Senate candidate Kathy Barnette is being relentlessly attacked by both sides of the political aisle, with the media attempting to smear her over attending the Trump rally on Jan. 6 as her popularity in the race surges.

She sat down with Fox News host Bret Baier on Monday and defended herself against the vicious attacks from the media which now appear to view her as a real threat in the race in Pennsylvania. One of the major talking points against her is that she said she had a “wonderful time” in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021, the date of the Capitol riot. They are also running with pictures of her marching alongside the Proud Boys.

Barnette was adamant that she was “not with the Proud Boys” but was “out there because I wanted to hear what the president had to say.”

As a law-abiding American citizen, I had every right to go to a rally in support of my president. That is what I was doing there,” she asserted. “We had a wonderful time. We prayed. We listened to what the president had to say. We hung out.”

“We walked and sang songs, and then we got on our bus and left and came back home,” Barnette contended.

When the conservative candidate was asked about the specific photos from that day, she responded, “I have no idea who these people are that I was walking with,” and added, “The media is smearing my name and sowing seeds of disinformation in order to suppress my vote and steal this election from me.”

Responding to NBC News, Barnette’s campaign stated, “Kathy was in DC to support President Trump and demand election accountability. Any assertion that she participated in or supported the destruction of property is intentionally false. She has no connection whatsoever to the proud boys.”

“You’re gonna see a bunch of pissed-off patriots that are like, ‘We’re not having this anymore,’” Barnette told conservative radio host Ed Martin on January 5, 2021, in an interview the leftist media is now trying to exploit and distort. “You’re gonna have to hear our voices. And so I’m so very grateful that Americans are not rolling over. Democrats are used to, you know, being loud, whining, calling us names, and then our side of the aisle, simply roll over and play dead. I am so proud that there are an innumerable number of Americans who are just like, no, we are not rolling over. We’re not going back to sleep. You’re gonna have to hear us.”

“I believe most people realize that this is our 1776 moment,” she added. “And I’m so grateful to God that back then we had a number of people who were not wimps, weenies, and punks, and they stood up against some insurmountable odds. And right now I think a lot of people are looking back to that and recognizing that we are not wimps, weenies, or punks, we’re gonna stand up to some – what seems like insurmountable odds. And they’re gonna have to listen to our voices.”

The conservative female black veteran is hot on the heels of celebrity surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz and former hedge fund manager Dave McCormick. Currently, The Hill is reporting that she is in second place with 24 percent of the vote. Oz has 28 percent and McCormick is drawing 21 percent of the vote respectively. Tuesday’s primary will decide who will be the Republican nominee in the Senate race to face off with the Democrats.

Oz has received the formal endorsement of former President Donal Trump. Barnette is a huge supporter of the former president. He has had good things to say about her but does not feel she can win the race and has said as much. Trump candidly asserts that there are too many unknowns in her past and some of her previous rhetoric is coming back to haunt her.

  1. Anyone that votes democrat this November is either a communist, socialist, dead, being paid to do so or a complete and unreversible idiot.
