Wa-Po’s Eugene Robinson says Buffalo gunman had ‘back up’ in killing 10, names 3rd-ranked GOP leader

As faithful acolytes of the Democratic establishment, corporate media pundits and those that aspire to such low places have made their coordination abundantly clear this news cycle by slandering and libeling every prominent elected Republican and conservative voter as complicit in the Buffalo shooting.

On Monday, associate editor for The Washington Post Eugene Robinson joined MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to make his case for the “back up” that the 18-year-old suspect charged in the killing of at least 10 individuals received from those seeking “votes” and “television ratings.” In particular, Robinson called out Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) by name while accusing her of taking the party to radical extremes.

“No one should call the person accused of this horrific and just unspeakable crime ‘a lone gunman.’ He had backup. He had backup from the killers who came before him,” Robinson expressed listing locations where other heinous shootings had occurred before echoing the new favored narrative of the left.

“And he also had backup from those who are playing footsie with this replacement theory in order to win votes, in order to win television ratings, in order to grift the American public in a way that is just unconscionable,” he went on before zeroing in on his objective. “And who are we talking about…point the finger at those who are doing it.”

“Point the finger at people like Elise Stefanik,” Robinson proclaimed before adding, “who’s in the Republican leadership, who used to be just a kind of normal, small government, pro-business Republican – saw that was not the way to power and then went completely MAGA…wanted the party to burn Liz Cheney at the stake for being honest about what happened on January 6.”

Had Stefanik, chair of the House Republican Conference, offered some form of praise for the crimes of the suspect? Her initial response was quite the contrary to what Robinson would have you believe.

Still, he plowed ahead with his accusations and went as far as to blame Stefanik and her supporters for crimes not yet committed, “And now she’s on Facebook, she’s playing with great replacement theory and putting it out there in a way that is just unspeakable and unthinkable, but it’s happening, and it’s not just her. This is becoming part of the mainstream ideology of the Republican party right now and that is unacceptable but it’s happening and when and how is it gonna stop because this is gonna continue, this is predictable. It’s going to continue. There are gonna be more of these.”

The legislator from New York was quick to respond to the associate editor’s rhetoric and issued shortly after the segment had aired reiterating her position.

Her senior adviser Alex DeGrasse went on to add of “Disgraceful, Dishonest, and Dangerous Media Smears” that “Any implication or attempt to blame the heinous shooting in Buffalo on the Congresswoman is a new disgusting low for the Left, their Never Trump allies, and the sycophant stenographers in the media. The shooting was an act of evil and the criminal should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

“Despite sickening and false reporting,  Congresswoman Stefanik has never advocated for any racist position or made a racist statement,” DeGrasse continued. He went on to explain the difference between legal and illegal immigration and Stefanik’s strong support of the former before crediting her with the diverse recruiting that has taken place in the party nationwide.

“We thank the groveling hacks in the media for reminding voters that Republicans oppose amnesty and will secure the border while Democrats support mass amnesty and voting rights for illegals,” he added before attributing the border crisis and rising crime to President Joe Biden’s leadership.

“Congresswoman Stefanik,” he concluded, “will never stop fighting to secure our borders and secure our elections.”
