Rocker Ted Nugent caused an uproar Saturday night when a portion of an appearance at event with former President Donald Trump was posted to social media where he suggested his favor of attendees if they “just went berserk on the skulls of the Democrats and the Marxists and the communists.”
Austin, Texas was the latest stop in Trump’s American Freedom Tour with headliners that included his son Donald Trump Jr., future daughter-in-law and Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, along with former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and documentary filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza. Nugent’s contribution to the gathering included performing on his vintage guitar, interspersed with his waxing eloquent on the Constitution and the civic duty of Americans to remain in touch with their congressional representatives.
However, Nugent may have pushed the hyperbolic limits a bit too far when suggested event participants make a considerably more than concerted effort to spread his message.
Ted Nugent at the Trump rally yesterday: “Think of what the enemies of America have done over the last 14 months .. I love you people madly, but I’d love you more if you went forward and just went berserk on the skulls of the Democrats and the marxists and the communists.” pic.twitter.com/8r1RVvpxon

“Think of what the enemies of America have done in the last 14 months,” he offered before arguing, “They didn’t sneak into the White House. They lied, they cheated, they scammed and every day the Democrats violate their sacred oath to the Constitution. And if you can’t impress your friends on that they shouldn’t be your friends…I love you people madly, but I’d love you more if you went forward and just went berserk on the skulls of the Democrats and the Marxists and the communists.”
Now, whether taken in the full context of Nugent’s remarks or out of context as the left preferred to present it, the rocker isn’t going to convince any moderates that such a red meat expression wasn’t over the top. It only comes across as all the worse when juxtaposed with the tragic shooting that occurred in Buffalo earlier the same day.
Leftists were drooling at the opportunity to pin the violence of the suspect on the beliefs espoused by conservatives and their reactions were ultimately condoned by President Joe Biden.

They went on to call for immediate action to be taken against Nugent for his words, ranging from an investigation to an outright arrest, as it was believed that such rhetoric would incite violence akin to how they view the events that transpired on January 6, 2021.
Why is he not getting a visit from the @FBI for that comment at the end?

Umm… how is this disgusting creature not under arrest right now?

And while believed moral superiorities were put on parade and faux legal scholars chirped on their understanding of First Amendment protections ending with incitement to violence, not a single person pointed to any act of violence that was committed at the behest of Nugent’s speech. Nuance, it seems, is a concept that is beyond the left but hypocrisy is an old friend as evidenced by their lack of denouncement of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) comments in the wake of the SCOTUS leak.

Not only did the mayor push for action, she doubled down in response to the backlash and claimed her stance was fulfilling a patriotic duty. Nugent has yet to issue any form of clarification on his statements and it is unknown if he was aware of the Buffalo shooting before he took the stage.
