In yet another of the many perks of being an elected official in Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives, lawmakers are now able to order beer, wine and liquor for delivery to their offices on Capitol Hill, a service that will likely be heavily used by congressional lushes.
The new service is available through the House’s caterer Sodexo which also operates cafeterias in the Capitol Hill complex housing the privileged and pampered members of America’s political elite and could provide essential relief during late-night legislative sessions.
Intrepid Fox News reporter Chad Pergram who covers Congress was the first to break the news, taking to Twitter on Friday to inform Americans that their representatives have taken measures to ensure that they won’t go thirsty during their long and tiresome workdays.
“The filibuster is fine. But liquor is quicker.” Pergram tweeted. “Fox has learned that lawmakers and aides can now order beer, wine and hard liquor directly to their offices.
“This is through the new caterer on the House side of Capitol Hill, Sodexo.”

“Wine and beer was often available at catered receptions on Capitol Hill. But now booze can go directly to a Member’s office,” he added. “And, they can order in bulk.”
“Fox is told that this can be paid with private money or a campaign funds,” a detail that may not go down smoothly with constituents of the House lawmakers.

According to the service’s website which has an order page for the US House of Representatives titled “Drinks on Demand,” there are options for same-day liquor delivery with beer available 24 hours around the clock; there is also an option for “bulk orders” of drinks “by the case.”
Prices for popular beverages include Jack Daniels Whiskey and Makers Mark Bourbon for $35 a bottle, Johnnie Walker Red Scotch for $25 a bottle, Tanqueray Gin at $23 a bottle and 1800 Silver Tequila at $30 a bottle.
Beer prices include Sam Adams Wicked Hazy IPA at $42 per case, Michelob Ultra at $35 per case, Victory Golden Monkey at $50 per case and Busch Light for $24 per case.
A variety of wines, seltzers and mixers are also available for delivery.
Not surprisingly, the news drew a spirited reaction from Twitter users.
Ted Kennedy would’ve loved this.

Americans can’t afford to buy groceries or put gas in their cars, and Nancy Pelosi decides now is a good time to open a congressional liquor store on Capitol Hill.
And yes, your tax dollars can be used for purchases.

Biden is using tax dollars for crack pipes.
Pelosi is using tax dollars for a liquor store.
And moms? They can’t find baby formula. https://t.co/dnX1teD6Uy

So in being resourceful Pelosi has decided to build a liquor store and bar in the Capitol and put AOC's bartending skills to use where she will not be bothering the Lower Chambers and Pelosi anymore

No formula for babies, but a liquor store at the Capitol? This has Pelosi’s fingerprints all over it. This fecal show would be hilarious if it was a sitcom. Sadly it’s true, thanks to Biden and Dems.

Um, so we pay for their booze now too? Meanwhile, there is a woman somewhere, right now, buying tampons and paying a LUXURY tax. Let that sink in.

Gas and food prices thru the roof, open border, baby formula shortage, empty shelves.
And what is DC doing? Flying to Ukraine for photo ops and opening a House Liquor Store. 😡

Nancy won’t make it to the floor…

Just when we thought Nancy couldn’t get anymore smashed while pretending to know what she’s doing

Maybe they’ll work together better for the American people if they’re all drunk?
— Sasquatch (@Sasquatcher2) May 13, 2022
Additionally, House staffers who were just given a pay increase will also reportedly receive free Peloton memberships on behalf of Pelosi and taxpayers.
The House liquor service takes Democrats and their leaders being drunk on power to an entirely new level but Ted Kennedy would definitely approve.
