The case for Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón’s negligence in his duties has only grown more convincing as a 26-year-old transgender child molester sent to a girl’s juvenile detention center has now been charged with murder.

James Tubbs, who had referred to himself as Hannah while claiming he identified as a woman, had been sentenced to two years in a juvenile facility after pleading guilty to the molestation of a 10-year-old girl prior to his turning 18. Following the controversial sentence, sending an adult man to a girls’ facility because of expressed identity and on account of his age at the time of the incident, it was reported that Tubbs had allegedly assaulted a four-year-old girl in a prior attack.

Now, according to a criminal complaint filed in Bakersfield, CA, Tubbs is being charged with first-degree murder in connection with a 2019 robbery of Michael Clark. Tubbs had been transferred from the juvenile detention facility to the Kern County jail with a bond set at $1 million for second-degree robbery prior to his arraignment Tuesday, according to Fox News.

The first charge on the complaint states, “On or about April 21, 2019, James Edward Tubbs, did willfully, unlawfully, deliberately, and with premeditation and malice aforethought murder Michael Clark, a human being…a felony. It is further alleged that the above offense is a serious felony.”

The second count pertains to the robbery and states Tubbs, “did willfully and unlawfully take personal property in the possession of Michael Clark, from his or her person or immediate presence and against his or her will, by means of force or fear…a felony.”

Prior to the new charges, Tubbs could have been released from detention as soon as next month and would not have to register as a sex offender. Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin explained that, in facing the fourth strike, California law could see him sentenced to life in prison.

Melugin went on to report that, “Kern County has Tubbs detained in a men’s jail and is referring to him as James, his legal name, instead of Hannah. I am also in possession of numerous in custody calls from Tubbs in LA which appear to show he was not being genuine [with] his transgender claim.”

Meanwhile, Gascón was reported as saying regarding Tubbs’s initial sentencing in the juvenile facility: “After her sentencing in our case, I became aware of extremely troubling statements she made about her case, the resolution of it and the young girl that she harmed. If we knew about her disregard for the harm she caused we would have handled this case differently.”

Such a claim is doubtful as Gascón knows Tubbs is a man, but continues to refer to him as a girl and allowed him to be sentenced as such.

These soft-on-crime stances have led to the declining safety of the residents of Los Angeles County who have mounted a second recall election against Gascón. Petitioners have until July 6 to obtain the signatures of 10 percent of registered voters, at 566,857, to make the effort official.

  2. Gascon should be tried as an accessory to murder for every killer that he paroled that killed again.

  3. He miraculously became transgender after he was arrested. That should not have been allowed. He had it all planned out so he could be around girls/women if he were to go to jail.
