The left’s extreme response to the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion has already turned ugly with Democrats from the White House on down refusing to condemn the mob intimidation of conservative justices at their homes as well as the firebombing of a Christian counseling center over the weekend, a sign that something much darker than abortion rights is fueling the unrest.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson analyzed the latest developments on Monday’s edition of his popular show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and suggested that the latest wave of leftist mayhem is not merely about protecting the right to deprive the unborn of their chance at life but rather an insurrection against Christianity itself in a provocative opening segment that God-fearing Americans should view as a warning.
After breaking down the lackluster response by the White House over the invasion of neighborhoods where justices and their families live after they were doxed by social media activists, Carlson turned to the Wisconsin Family Action office which was the target of a domestic terrorism attack when someone hurled a Molotov cocktail into it, leaving behind the ominous message “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either” written on a wall.
“Now, the Christian counseling center had nothing to do with Samuel Alito’s opinion, of course, the Christian counseling center only talks to women who are pregnant and aren’t sure what to do next. They don’t make money doing it. They’re not Planned Parenthood,” Carlson said. “They’re not getting rich by giving gender-altering chemicals to your kids or committing abortion.”
“No, they’re just talking to girls who are confused and upset. Some of those girls wind up having abortions anyway, but the people at the Christian counseling center are trying their best to do their duty. They’re not doing anything aggressive at all, but because their views are repugnant to the left, their building was firebombed,” he added, noting the lame coverage by media.
Carlson then teed up video of an attack on the office of an Alexandria, Virginia Christian nonprofit women’s group as well as the disruption of Catholic worship services on Mother’s Day along with angry activists confronting police.
He also showed the disgusting spectacle of a vile pro-abortion extremist known as Crackhead Barney who staged mock abortions in front of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York City over the weekend.
“Could you get away with that outside any other religious center?” Carlson asked. “Any other group of worshipers?”
“So, maybe you’re starting to think this isn’t actually about Roe,” he said. “Maybe it’s about something more than that, maybe it’s about something much darker than that.”
“Take a look at what Democrats are doing in Congress right now if you want a sense of what their plans are. This is a real passage from a new abortion bill the Democrats are trying to get through the Congress and we’re quoting: ‘This act is intended to protect all people with a capacity for pregnancy, cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, those who identify with a different gender and others,’ Carlson said, showing the actual language of the Democrat bill to “codify” Roe v. Wade.
“So there it is. It’s not really about codifying Roe – abortions for people who need them safe, legal and rare, it’s about something much bigger than that,” he continued. “It’s about displacing God as the great decider. Democrats now reserve the right to rewrite biology, which is to say dominion over nature. Now they’re in charge.”
“So again, this isn’t just about intimidating Supreme Court justices, five of them, into changing their views on Roe v. Wade. It’s about attacking Christianity because Christianity stands in their way,” Tucker added.
Later in the segment, Tucker smacked it out of the ballpark.
“So, if you’re a sincere liberal, it would seem odd to hate Christians,” he said. “But the totalitarians always do hate Christians. The Soviets killed the priests first, so did Mao. During the Spanish Civil War, the Communists subjected a statue of Jesus to a symbolic execution in front of a firing squad, it was one of the first things they did within weeks of the war breaking out. Here’s the picture on your screen. Shooting Jesus. It tells you everything.”
“So, modern liberals hate Christianity, not because it’s repressive, but because they are. Any religion that puts God before government is by definition a threat to their power. Most offensive of all, Christianity specifically rejects their most cherished dogma, which is racial hierarchy,” he said. “The Christian message is the opposite of the equity agenda.”
