BLM propaganda is now being distributed and normalized in the elementary schools of the nation’s capital.

According to reporting from Fox News, students at Janney Elementary School in Washington, DC, were given “anti-racism” presentations in which they were instructed to identify and condemn the malignant racists in their families. A letter from the school’s principal, Danielle Singh, and dated November 30 of last year, specifically asked students from pre-K through third grade to follow up on Doyin Richards’ “Anti-Racism Fight Club” presentation.

Doyin Richards styles himself a motivational speaker, author, and “anti-racism facilitator.”

“Today students in grades pre-k through third grade participated in the Anti-Racism Fight Club presentation with Doyin Richards,” the letter reads. “As part of this work, each student has a fist book to help continue the dialogue at school and home…We recognize that any time we engage topics such as race and equity, we may experience a variety of emotions.”

“This is a normal part of the learning and growing process,” Singh’s letter continues. “As a school community we want to continue the dialogue with our students and understand this is just the beginning.”

The handbook is apparently called a “fist book,” which doesn’t at all sound militant and propagandistic. The fist book is considered part of an anti-racist “fight club,” and it is supposed to be a “helpful tool as you travel down the road to being an anti-racist.” It even comes with useful sections that help students learn the difference between racism and just old-fashioned prejudice.

The fist book makes it clear that white people can in fact experience racial discrimination from other races, but explains that “the difference is that white people are a part of a society that benefits them in almost every instance.”

It goes on to explain white privilege.

“If you are a white person,” the fist book laments, “white privilege is something you were born with and it simply means that your life is not more difficult due to the color of your skin. Put differently, it’s not your fault for having white privilege, but it is your fault if you choose to ignore it.”

The fist book is full of helpful information. It also says that “on average white people have more money, better healthcare, better schools, and better neighborhoods than Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC). So if a Black person says something mean to a white person, he has no power over him. It’s as if white people walk around with an invisible force field because they hold all of the power in America.” 

Invisible force fields notwithstanding, there are certain things kids can do to deal with racist family members—and every family has at least one of those. “‘If someone doesn’t believe that people should be treated equally based on the color of their skin, then they are the problem,” declares the fist book.

“Parents need to stop making excuses for that behavior if they truly believe in anti-racism. Who in your family has racist beliefs? Do you think you can change their ways? What is your strategy for dealing with them?” the material asks.

It’s not clear how the fist book intends kids to be “dealing with” recalcitrant racists in the family, but it does have a lot to say about Colin Kaepernick. “If you hate Kaepernick now, you’d hate Dr. King if he was alive today,” the fist book states. “And do you know what’s funny? In 50 years from now, white people will probably talk glowingly of Kaepernick as they are with Dr. King now. Stop using his quotes to benefit your racism.”

For its part, DC Public Schools told Fox News that the fist book was not shared with students: “DC Public Schools provides joyful and rigorous academic experiences for our students and is committed to advancing educational equity. In December, a resource link with this content was shared in a parent newsletter at one of our schools. It is not part of our DCPS curriculum and was not shared with students.”
